My introduction into the jewelry industry in 1979 was managing the sales department for a jewelry equipment supply business in NYC. I progressed into sales in the fine jewelry industry in 1987, and then into jewelry designing/manufacturing. The most rewarding aspect of my career in this industry is the actual hands on fabricating of my designs from scratch. My work studio is where I spend my time producing my newer edgier hand wrought designs in 18kt gold, silver, special mixed precious metals and at times platinum. A lovely shop run by a wonderful artist — I came in to ask about a custom earring, and Joane patiently and helpfully guided me through the many choices to reach a shared vision. The result was beautiful, and all of our interactions leading up to it a treasure. I'm delighted to have found her and looking forward to return.
