We used to love ODB. But the past few times we visited it was awkward and stuffy. Previously you'd be seated to order like a typical restaurant but now you order at the front and they bring you your food and drink when it's ready. Which is totally fine but that's not clearly explained so we were left unsure what to do until I asked. And the food isnt necessarily as described. Unfortunately they used to make some of the best chai lattes and this time around it was cold and had so much cinnamon I couldn't even enjoy it. We love the idea of bussing your own table but none of the canisters were labeled for recycling, trash, compostables so everyone was just tossing things into one bin -- which was sad.

Pluses: many gluten free options; also interesting variety of sandwiches and soup, all organic fresh ingredients. Minus: barely cooperative staff who clearly wished they were somewhere else. When asked where seating was, or for water, glued to the floor and pointed. Reminded us at 2 pm and those who came in after us of 3pm closing time. When we were leaving 10 minutes before closing, everything in front was already closed down and put away. Too bad if someone wants takeout or dessert to go.

Love the staff, very warm friendly atmosphere. Not to mention delicious bread, pastries, and self serve coffee!

Food was so so good. There cream puffs are my favorite, I wake up in the middle of the night craving their cream puffs. Their coffee is the best around here, There lattes especially. they’re creamy and the foam was so perfectly steamed. The service was amazing. The cashier, Grace, was really nice and so cool. They had the best music as well. All in all was really such an amazing experience, and would highly recommend!!

We used to eat here often but it has gone down significantly. Once we used to compare it to the best delis in NYC but no longer. On one occasion we ordered pastrami hash but it was so over cooked that it was inedible. The next time we ordered the Veggie Omelet which advertised "seasonal vegetables" - it was filled with corn and poblanos. Again, not edible. The problem also is that you need to bus your own tables which is fine, but the kitchen may not realize that people are not finishing their food. Service is friendly and nice and the place is clean, but we miss the good old days where the food was wonderful.

Food is great. Service has gotten pretty bad. Seems like no one is in charge. The dining-in experience went through the floor. I just get takeout occasionally now, and you will usually wait a long time. I want to give this place 5 stars, but the customer experience there hasn't been good since lockdowns.

So disappointed with my last experience here. Have been coming here for over a decade and have even used them for catering but sadly I don't think I will be returning. First off, the lights were off in the dining room which was odd. Then we were greeted by flies and the tables were super sticky and not wiped down. You have to bus your own tables here which is fine, but at least have some one come wipe down the tables. I think had the most tasteless matzoh ball soup in my life and had to send it back. It was luke warm and the matzoh balls tasted like cement. The Greek salad came with a small plastic cup of vinegar as the dressing. For $13 I would have expected a bit more. The kicker was 2 random pieces of nasty chicken I found in my salad. It was like they cut the veggies on a dirty cutting board.
