Closest Tops to me and also the worst I've ever been to. Never encounter a friendly person. By friendly all I'm looking for is some reaction when eye contact is made. A nod, a smile and hello. Something. Stockers in the aisle act like you're in their way when your trying to shop. So a box of pasta I was purchasing happened to rip yesterday moving it to the register to pay. I told the cashier if she'd tape the box I was fine with it as I ripped it and then it wouldn't spill allover my car or in the bag. No tape. Called her supervisor 3 times. No one came. No tape. She closed her register and I walked to the service desk to ask for a piece of tape. She was waiting on another customer who side-eyed me so I waited. Then I was ignored so I went back to the register. So I asked the cashier to get some tape maybe from the service desk. She couldn't -the service desk didn't have tape either. Still no supervisor with tape. Now time to pay. I paid and said I was concerned about the pasta falling over. I asked to speak with a manager. The MOD is called. He exits the front corner and walks across the front end past us and then back again. When this happens the service desk person says to the cashier that he was the manager. She didn't even know him. He comes over ''What do you need?' Is said to the cashier and she motions to me. 'Yes' he says to me. I confirmed he was the manager. Jim his name tag said. I asked him if he knew his cashier, and he says no. No wonder there is an issue in this building. He doesn't know who his people are and they don't know him. No wonder supervisors aren't responsive - they have no idea what an expectation is. He can't even keep store supplies stocked. Craziness. I let him have it. And it probably went right over his head.

Even though this Tops is actually in a very convenient location, I either forget it's there , or only go there when I just don't want to go to my usual supermarkets. I will say that this Tops has come light years from how it used to be back in the day when it had all kinds of infrastructure issues! They have improved their selection of produce and you can find non dairy alternatives. There is a very small section of vegetarian frozen foods. They have always had plenty of baked sweets and assorted parfaits made with pieces of cake and whipped cream. The staff is generally very efficient and pleasant..... but there's still something about it that doesn't make me want to shop there. Aside from selection , for me , it's just so dark!!! It's got a very gloomy look about it, from the minute you come in the door where the carts are to the checkout stations, which are so close to the doors that the cashiers are freezing all winter long. The whole store is dark and there's nothing inviting or cheerful about it. I fully realize that it's a very small location and apparently they have no to way to expand. But is there a reason that higher wattage bulbs and more cheerful displays can't be implemented? So when I have to grab some soda and I just have been out running other errands and don't want to drive to Wegmans or Whole Foods, I'll remember that I can grab some at Tops. But it would be great to have it be a really great super market right at the corner of Amherst and Cheektowaga !

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. First off, it's 2020- get ApplePay already. Second, I slipped on mashed potatoes and I'm not sure why. I am 21. I should not be slipping on mashed potatoes. Harsh because this is the closest grocery store and I will never go back.

The smallest Tops You will ever go to. They are not friendly here. Everyone that works here looks miserable. Every time I come here they make my day down and they don't give change, not even for a five this is literally the saddest tops. This is the closest TOPS to me and I go out of my way to go to another Tops.

Hate it!! Every time I come here I get mad at myself, the workers here are very slow I mean they move at a snails pace , most of the self checkouts don't take cash so that's a hassle , the store seems less then stocked on anything thing even worth buying, these little neighborhood stores are shown no love .

Very small more like a "Wilson Farms" definitely not my favorite Tops location, only came here because I need one thing. Self checkout would not accept cash so I had to use my card. None the less I got what I needed

I bought a package of assorted chicken on sale (daily special or something) today for $4. Its sell by date was today but I didn't care because I was going to cook it today anyway. Well when I got home, it was completely obvious this chicken has been bad for a while. It was so slimy and stunk up the whole kitchen when I opened it. I went and returned it for a refund, and the lady was nice enough. In my head I really wanted a free chicken package after having to deal with that but I didn't say anything... and when I went to go get actually edible chicken (i didn't feel like driving to another grocery store), I noticed all the other ones on sale and I just know those were all bad. You can just tell by the color - idk how I didn't notice this before I bought it. Tops, please educate the people putting this rotten meat out. This is really bad and gross and it can get people sick. I'm so disappointed because it was an awesome sale. Probably going to avoid this store in the future.

Not bad but not exactly top notch and one of the attendants in self check out was a bit rude.

This Tops deserves no stars. We went today around 5 PM to return bottles. The bottle room was closed ,so we went in and were rudely told to go back and someone would be out to open it up. The young man said he had to clean it up and to take the bottles back inside to return them! Sooo we went to the front desk again and the young woman was rude and bored! She looked in our bag and proclaimed I can't take these because they are from Wegmans. Your machines takes Wegmans bottles. We told her there were other bottles in there they do take and she let out such a sigh that we left and took all our business to Wegmans. Their bottle return is always clean and the workers are polite! The customer service at this store is disgraceful and the management needs to address this.

Wow. In town for business and stopped here for something to eat to take back to my hotel. What a crap hole of a so called grocery store. The place seemed dirty and the employees in a state of "I don't give a crap" what you need. I wanted some pre made Buffalo Bites and they were packed with Blue Cheese. When I asked for Ranch they said they had no packets of them. Come on, really? Just felt like I stepped back in time dealing with this place.

This location has a little bit smaller store but the staff is always very helpful polite and personable . From the deli to the floor crew they help you with whatever you're looking for and while you don't see a butcher they are in the back and will do anything you ask on request . Sometimes their fruit is a little less than perfect but for your everyday needs and Quickstop in's this is a great place.

More like Bottoms. They don't even sell Tops, by the way. No hoodies, no cardigans. OK, they may, but I haven't seen them in here. Or much of anything really. My least favourite Tops in WNY. The parking lot is smaller and a zoo. I've been hustled and yelled at and hit up for all kinds of things on several occasions here. They've only had half of what I came in for the last few times I've been in here. People think that Wegmans is more expensive but overall I think it balances out. Both stores could be a lot more affordable. What I do stop here for is their Kale. When they actually have it. Their bananas are awful, probably frozen at some point. Every time I go to shop here, something s-Tops me. The best thing about it is that it is next to the big roundabouts! Love them.
