I really enjoyed my visit to empire vision works. The staff was super helpful and so nice! They also showed patience with my son who has ADHD and did not seem to mind the 20 questions he needed to ask or him moving about the rooms wanting to touch everythinggg. That was really a big thing for me because most people seem annoyed and try to rush us out.I will forever be grateful with their professionalism.I can't even explain how nice and helpful they were and I am not going to try because any of the compliments I give still cannot even do them justice. This is a wonderful establishment and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone.Even though I have to get glasses, having such a wonderful, kind and helpful staff made me not even mind that getting older has messed with my eyesight.I will definitely go back!I don't want to have to use any other eye doctors!!!!!!!!!!All the staff should get a RAISE.I swear they were that good!!

This store does not keep the hours posted on the door. They say they are open until 7pm. Last week I arrived at 6:50 to order glasses. I already had the frames picked out. But the door was locked. Someone came and told me that it takes time to shut down the computer... I went back tonight to PICK UP the glasses that had arrived for my son. We arrived at 6:30... THIRTY minutes before closing and again, the door was locked. This is very frustrating. I made two trips to this store and got nothing in return! I will be buying my glasses at another store.

I was given an appt within 2 days of me calling. Rajid booked my Saturday appt and he was nice over the phone. Rachel was professional, knowledgable and cool. Had me laughing the whole time. She was well versed with the plan and choices I had to make as well the Optician.

August 2023 by Amber Falcheck
I would not recommend this place to anyone. This happened a while ago around August of 2022 I went and had my usual exam and my vision insurance was running out the following month, so I had paid out of pocket for my glasses and opted to order contacts using the insurance as it was the cheaper option. They said the contacts were on back order and it would be a week or so before they came in. Well about a month passes around the end of September, I called to check in to see if they were ready and the receptionist had told me they were still on back order. I thought that was odd they were just normal contacts. Another month passes by and I call again toward middle of October and the receptionist says my contacts have been ready since the beginning of September and that they had "called" me to tell me they were ready. They ended up not calling me they called my father's phone number for some reason even though they still did have my correct phone number and didn't bother to check in when I obviously had not come in for months after they were ready. When I had called them the first time it was after the date that they had arrived, so for some reason the receptionist lied to me and said they were not there. I was obviously quite mad and politely asked the receptionist if I could speak to a supervisor to see what went wrong, and the receptionist hung up on me! I called back again and asked her again and she just put me on hold, I ended up going into the office myself and talking to the manager (who was very nice given the situation I will say). On top of all of this, the insurance was never billed for the contacts since by the time I was able to get the actual contacts due to them not informing they were there - so I was never able to get them covered though insurance and ended up wasting my insurance coverage. DO NOT go here.

Easy to book appointments online. Even though I filled out the admission paperwork online, I kept getting emails and text messages to remind me to fill out my admission paperwork. The day before my appointment, I received a phone call saying that the optometrist can only see 2 people from the same family a day. I will have to reschedule the other 2 members of my family. I was also told that the optometrist doesn't do eye exams on children under 6 years old. There was no notification on this when I booked my appointment online. The person who called me hung up on me when I told her I would like to cancel my family's appointments for the next day due to these "rules" that they have. How rude and unprofessional!

My appointment was pushed back 4 days due to a water main break. Okay, whatever. When I finally was seen the office was busy and the appointments backed up.The optometrist was not part of the staff, but was a floater filling in. The doctor offered me an Optus image of my retina so I wouldn't need to drive home dilated. Following the imaging, the doctor was having trouble making out the results and pointed to a haziness. I asked what it meant and they explained it could be indicative of an excess in spinal fluid, which could be caused by anything under the sun (including cancer) When a medical professional tells you something like this, you should take it seriously. The optometrist recommended I visit an ophthalmologist for better imaging of my retinal nerve and said they'd make an appointment for me and call the next day. I was sent out to the lobby to pick frames and purchase glasses with my heart now racing. The next day I waited until midday before calling the ophthalmologist myself - visionworks did not call me and when I rang the store no one picked up. The receptionist at the ophthalmologist was confused, the haziness I described was not usual cause for concern but I asked nicely that I'd like to be seen because the doctor had me worried. They obliged and fit me in the same week. When I went and saw the ophthalmologist that doctor asked exactly what the visionworks doctor had told me about my optic nerve and I relayed the message. He was a bit confused as well and said that it really doesn't sound atypical. He dilated me and spent some time looking at my eyes through the slit lamp and after a period, he rolled back in his chair and told me I was perfectly healthy and that frankly, he didn't think I needed to be there and there was never a cause for concern.I have come to learn the haziness in my original imagery was the result of a tilted nerve which is not uncommon and the previous doctor should have been more familiar with it. They also should have dilated me and done a second review themselves before referring me to a specialist. I believe the floating doctor at this location at this time was overwhelmed and overworked. My appointment was rescheduled once and once I was finally there it took quite some time past my scheduled slot for me to be seen. Additionally, another younger patient before me was referred to an ophthalmologist as well because the doctor couldn't find the correct eyedrops for a child.I am particularly unsatisfied with the care I received at this location because in referring me out, I have incurred a significant cost for a medical eye exam. My vision insurance only covers one exam annually from an eye doctor. By referring me out, I had to bill to my medical insurance and now I'm on the hook for hundreds of dollars following sub-par care at Visionworks. Not only that, but I also had to return to the store for remake glasses because the first set of lenses were so bad. Save the headache, stay clear of here.If management is reading this: Yes, I'd like to be contacted. I have still not been able to get through on the phone.

I scheduled my eye exam online 6 days prior to my appointment for 11:40am, on day 3 I received a text that my appointment was changed to11:35. The day of my appointment I received 3 text messages confirming my appointment, each text had a different time. The times were in this order11:35am, rescheduled to 11:45, rescheduled again for 11:40. So not being sure when my appointment was I got there at 11:20. The girl at the front desk took my name and said she had tried to call me for my insurance info. I had no voice messages, or missed calls. She told me to go home and she would call me later in the afternoon for my appointment. I told her I was not leaving as, no one called me. 30 minutes later this girl called me back, so she could do 2 tests that was her portion. Not once did she tell me what she was doing. I then had to go back out to the lobby area, in which I waited another 10-15 minutes. When I saw the Dr, he was awesome, the techs were very helpful in explaining the different lenses. As I was leaving visionworks I received another text letting me know my appointment was rescheduled again but this time for 11:20 am. I have given 2 stars because of the front desk girl being extremely rude and accusatory.

I booked a appointment online and went in on the schedule day and the lady upfront was very rude and told me she called and left a voice mail, never received a call. Horrible experience
