I cannot say enough about the staff! Our elderly dog lost all control of his hind quarter suddenly last night. We had hoped he would be better in the morning but was not. Our vet was not open on Sunday so we called the Veterinary Emergency Clinic. The staff was incredibly compassionate and walked us through the difficult decision to let our fur baby go. I would highly recommend their services.

These folks are the BOMB!!! Brought our cat RJ in for what we thought were injuries from a fall or mishap at home. Turns out he had a mass and fluid in his left lung, enlarged prostate, cystitis and possible lymp node enlargement. Dr.Poltis and her staff were absolutely wonderful. We had to make the difficult choice but ultimately what was best for our boy. We couldn't have asked for a better transition.

My dog needed emergency surgery this past weekend and they saved her life. I’m very grateful for the excellent care they provided. Thank you so much to the doctors and all the staff!

The Vet was great and the Vet Tech was also very good. However, the staff are a bunch of rude loosers that make a sloth look like a road runner. It was lunch time and they continued to eat and saw us come in and completely ignored us. Finally one of the sloths called us over and I told her my cat was vomiting/coughing and had difficulty breathing and had blood in her urine. She writes down urine problem and was dismissive and pissy as hell. She acted like it was too much effort to write down all the symptoms, a real b1tch. The problem is their the only emergency clinic in the area that I know of and they probably know it too!!

If I could give this clinic 0 stars I would. My dog got into chicken wings and was choking on a chicken wing bone and began showing signs of respiratory distress. We rushed her to the clinic which is just a few mins from home and got her inside. The workers there specifically the large Amish looking one with glasses, dirty blonde hair (think large Marge) completely lacked empathy and didn't have care in the world. It seemed as though our presence bothered and annoyed her. She moved slower than a sloth as she checked us in. This woman should be banned from owning animal. In fact, she belongs in a place not working with animals, or even people....even Burger King wouldn't want to hire her. We waited there for over ten minutes before miss Amish/large Marge trying to be in charge decided to get up and touch base with a vet tech. At this point my dog was heavily panting and had been. Large Amish Marge was un-phased and said we were going to be next. I asked her if that would be in 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and hour, she didn't have an answer. My dog was in active respiratory distress and we'd been waiting far too long. Maybe instead of paying 3 large women to sit all day and play on their computers, they should staff some competent vet techs. While my dog was in distress, large Marge also allowed a tweaking out crack head sit in the waiting room with an empty pet crate... who asked to take a picture of me and my dog ?? I digress... 30 minutes went by and large marge wanting to be in charge refused to give us an update on what was going on. Anyways, after calling Orchard Park Emergency care, we decide to leave and head there to receive the medical care needed. When I told Large Amish Marge that I we were going elsewhere, her inbred-looking coworker with the black hair, big forehead and blue eyes said "we don't recommend inducing vomiting" 1st of all... i didn't ask, and I'll take the advice of a vet over the minimum wage office worker who can't see straight 2nd of all, you didn't have a word to say to help us before, don't involve yourself now 3rd of all, my dogs cost more than you make in a year and are very well cared for. So, you should focus on yourself hunny Strongly recommend driving the extra 15 minutes to orchard park for some real help!!

We arrived from Rochester with our sick dog and was met with such compassion. The staff was very patient and understanding. We wound up having to put our baby down and they were so helpful.

truly one of the worst experiences i had with my pet. I asked for pain medication and was told to leave my cat in pain because “they are better off less active” after a painful surgery. no professional advice was given, instead my cat was dismissed and left in PAIN.

Came here because our puppy had diarrhea and was throwing up. She was considered urgent. We have been here for over 3 hrs. It took 2 hours for someone to get to the room then I had to hunt someone down for the parvo results after waiting a other hour. The test takes 8 mins for a result. Never coming here again

I'd rate zero stars if I could. If you value your pets' life, please go elsewhere. My puppy suddenly got bloody diarrhea so I brought him in immediately since this was the place my vet (who was closing when I called) recommended. It took about 2 hours for them to check him for parvo. Even though he's up to date with all his vaccines & had no lethargy, or any other parvo-related symptoms (besides the diarrhea), I understood & agreed to the exam. I was told it would probably take about 1 & a half hours for the vet to come talk to us since he was the only one in. Well we've now been waiting for SIX HOURS, going on 7. I was going to leave and take him somewhere else but the lady at the front desk said we'd have to pay for the parvo exam and a visiting fee. I decided to stay since I didn't wanna pay another visiting fee + more exams somewhere else. At this point we probably won't be seen until morning. I literally had to go up to the desk myself and ask about his parvo results since no one was coming in to tell us. He was negative, but I still have to wait for them to run other tests. My poor boy hasn't eaten since about 7am.. My boyfriend was going to leave to get him food but we were told he couldn't eat. This place is awful & the only reason I'm still here is so my 7 hours of wait time weren't for nothing.

Compassionate, kind and caring group. We brought our pup in and from reception, to techs, to Dr. Spires, everyone was exceptional. Open communication about possible procedures and cost prior to doing the things. Everyone was gentle with my dog. Dr. Spires listened to us, took her time and answered all of our questions. Only downfall was a few hours of waiting but that can be expected with any emergency services.

Unfortunately my ferret was showing signs of internal bleeding, and all the vets I called prior were not able to see her. Cornell said they only have an exotic vet till 4pm (this started at 6:30pm), Orchard Park said not till Sunday (this was Wednesday), and every other vet close to me (Fairport, NY) said they needed an appointment. Thankfully when we called here they said they weren’t sure if they could treat her, but they could at the very least end her suffering. Having had ferrets for years, I didn’t think she would make it till the morning for either Cornell or her regular vet, so we made the drive there. While the outcome was not what any pet parent wants to have, we are so grateful they took the time to see her, let us ask questions, and be there for her final moments. We opted to take her home so everyone could say goodbye to her, and they sent us home with some paw prints and a little bag to hold her respectfully. We didn’t expect that since we told them we’d take her to our normal vet for cremation in the morning. Definitely not a fun night, but we were treated with kindness and sympathy from the people we saw.

Well worth the long wait! The vet and vet techs were so knowledgeable and made sure my aging cat went home hydrated and gave us what we needed and taught us how to administer it to keep him comfortable. Thank you! Thank you!

Ok this emergency vet saved my dogs life. I brought my female mastiff in that was not fixed. She had a bad infection she had a fever she was dehydrated she was shaking I thought she was going to die I brought her to this emergency vet immediately. I knew this was going to be a lot of money and I was prepared to do whatever I had to do for my dog. So it was 5 days before Christmas and I was short on money I brought her in and Dr Kristina Doyle saved my dog's life. I think she could see it in my eyes with how much I cared for my dog so she found ways for me to make things cheaper she did a sonogram instead of an x-ray and she helped me with the antibiotics and got them cheaper for me. My dog had pyometra and the infection was just out of control.. She told me that my dog Coco needed emergency surgery immediately I knew I did not have the $3,200 they were asking for she went in the back and she contacted another vet which was Lipsy clinic 300 Harlem road she told me to give her the antibiotics and get her to the Lipsy clinic immediately no questions asked she is genuinely a angel. So I brought my dog to the other clinic and they gave me a payment plan for the emergency surgery which was getting coco spayed immediately ..Dr Kristina Doyle and her assistant save my dog's life I paid my bill and I brought her to the other vet she recommended they took coco in the back immediately and gave her the emergency surgery it's been 10 days now and she's doing awesome healthy using the bathroom eating she is doing really well she is so happy..When I mean I met an angel that day I really met a angel and she cared for me and my dog like it was her dog I cannot thank everyone enough for saving my dog's life and working with me with money and getting me on a payment plan.Thank you Dr. Kristina Doyle and your staff. This was the best Christmas gift I could ever get and I would recommend this place to anyone that has an emergency for there animals. They are beyond caring loving great beautiful people... I truly did not understand that not having my dog fixed could be so dangerous so anyone that has a female dog get them spayed immediately 80% of females will get this pyometra and I can not thank Dr Kristina Doyle enough she is a true angel in disguise as well as the staff and doctor at Lipsy clinic Thankyou so much..... Love coco and Chloe

Majority of this staff is beyond caring and understanding. I’ve had to use them twice for 2 different species on 2 different occasions. One ended up happy and the most recent unfortunately did not have a happy ending. Both occasions, the staff was so sweet and attentive to both animals and myself. Very informative and lays it out black and white with the realist options available. During our last unfortunate visit, they allowed me to sit with my pup as long as I needed in a private room and able to FaceTime for goodbyes. They even provided a sympathy basket with water, mints/gum and cookies/crackers. I can only give them praise for the service and love they provided for my animals. I will continue to use them for any future needs. I can only pray they know how thankful I am for everything they did for my Snickers. ?
