Do not recommend this place for anyone wanting a normal life, Constantly have no hot water. They put in new system. Still have issues and they’d rather save the money than have a 24/7 plumber come for the 12 different apartments with no hot water at night. Would rather wait till morning to save money. Constantly doing stuff outside that that makes the outside of the apartment look nice but as soon as you walk in everything’s outdated except for the floor. Outlets are old and unsafe. Toilets are 20+years old and barely flush. On top of the TWO washers and TWO dryers you have to share with the 12 other apartments . The bedrooms are tiny with very little storage. Always have water leaks cause all the plumbing is outdated.

I think this is a really convinent place to live especially if you have children. The amenities are a plus. I find the office staff very easy to deal with and informative. Leasing offices deal with a lot of crazy people and I feel like this office does a really fine job individually. My apartment complex is clean. There’s a cleaner who cleans the hallways every week. I find Idylwood to be prompt with requests as well. Minor complaints so far in comparison to a lot of other apartment buildings/ landlords. As for neighbors you can’t blame the apartment buildings for dirty people. But even still it hasn’t been too much of an issue thus far which was one of my biggest concerns moving into a complex.

I'll start off by confirming that I am not trying to bash Idylwood or their employees (or lack of), but rather to inform any new tenants or individuals looking into moving here.Idylwood is in a convenient spot. There are many amenities around; a thruway is less than 10 minutes away, a grocery store down the street, and many restaurants and fast food within a short distance. You can say that the area is nice as trees surround each complexes and greenery pops up in such great spots.Idylwood also includes a nice basketball court, a volleyball court, swings, and a place for shade and to relax. They also have bikes to ride, but I've never seen anybody use one. There is a cute doggy play pen for dogs to run around and meet others. But that's probably all I can say.The driveway into Idylwood is one of the worst. It is extremely bumpy, so drive slowly so you don't: 1. go airborne and 2. scratch your front bumper up. There are many stop signs--most of which should probably be yield signs. I'm sorry if you live in the back of the complex and have to go through it all. I'm glad that they decided to keep 10 extra stop signs in rather than implement a safe sidewalk for runners, bikers, and people walking their dogs. Yes, there are no sidewalks.I'll include how the drivers are--as careless as the employees that work for Idylwood. Drivers will park in the middle of the road, and to the side--blocking you from continuing forward. The resident director will lie to you, try to convince you otherwise, and will not partake in anything that they say they will. The workers also take their sweet time in order to complete a work order or a maintenance request. I get it--they may be short staffed or have a lot on their plates, but the orders probably won't be completed within 72 hours. They are probably one of the messiest, untidiest, and most disrespectful individuals I've ever met.Let's get onto my favorite part of Idylwood--the complex. Most of the buildings are smoking apartments and only a few are designated as non-smoking, as opposed to the other way around. This should be clearly labeled as it is fairly common that buildings are non-smoking unless otherwise designated. Living in a pet-friendly apartment, you would think that it is non-smoking, but that was not the case at all. My complex reeked of cigarettes, weed, dirty laundry, and spoiled food. The smell was disgusting. I didn't realize how bad it was until the 4 wall air fresheners weren't covering the cigarette smell. My clothes reeked as if I was a cigarette smoker (surprise, I am not!).I had to throw out most of my furniture, clothing, and bedding because the smell would not come out. Cigarette buds will be on the floors and if you're lucky, you may find empty packages of blanks right outside your door! The lights in the hallways will not be replaced and you'll have to walk into your apartment in the dark.Your neighbors could be nice, but other neighbors may be the loudest people you know. They will blast loud music with the bass boosted to the max on a Saturday morning. Employees won't do anything about the disturbance. We had to break our lease because we are moving out of state, but please do yourself a favor and spend the extra $300 to move into an area that cares about your wellbeing and your apartment.

Terrible! They people in the office talks to you crazy! The walls are thin as paper! Water goes out through the whole buildings like every apartment! High wouldn't recommend! Maintenance do not fix things the proper way!

I love my peace finally. I need to put the amenities to use. Wish it was an indoor pool so I can learn to swim.

I lived here for a year, actually the worst place to live. It was filthy when I first moved into this complex, spend a majority of my first day cleaning. Way overpriced apartment, payed 1,300/month for a 500sq foot apartment. Matience never fixed anything, and if they do they make you wait weeks. I lived in building 91, and only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the entire complex, and only one dryer worked. Put in multiple complaints about the broken dryer, and it was never fixed properly. Also, Tim in the leasing office is awful. He never answers the phone, and has an attitude when he actually has to do his job. And Jennifer trippi is not any better to deal with. My advice, look for a different complex to live, this place is not worth your time or money.
