Big fan of this ShopRite, usually very fresh produce. They have multiple sales and deals every week. Once a month they do little events with free samples, that's cool. The front end people are super friendly and the customer service lady with the glasses is awesome. You go there with an issue, you leave with a smile and problem resolved. My dad accidentally got spicy sopressata and they let him return it, no problem. Good people there.

Random Saturday stop, not my usual store but familiar with Chester. What a good experience! Of course, it's Spring & we all feel better, but the plant selection was good, they had every sale item in stock, and so many nibble stations, I left not needing lunch! Tortellini salad, seaford salad, strawberry shortcake, cookies & lemonade, and some others were among the offerings. (No, I didn't sample them all lol).
Good on management for making a routine non-boutique store feel like one. Makes it super easy to want to stop again when in the area

Seems quite well stocked for usual supermarket stuff like groceries, toiletries, (deep) frieze stuff, etc. it has a manned and self checkout sections. It’s spacious and diverse, but could benefit from non-household products like basic car and tooling supplies (eg basic screwdriver, windshield wiper, etc.)

Good service plenty of parking but can get pretty crowded on weekends and before a storm. It's located in a shopping mall with plenty of food options and a movie theater.

Need to fix the deli express order. Very nice young women walked me through ordering today and promised a $5 coupon. Couldn’t get me the coupon and after finishing my shopping the deli order wasn’t even started. Meanwhile others came and went at the counter.

I’ve been shopping here for the past 8 years and tonight will be the last time for several reasons. Just to name a few reasons: employees are too busy gossiping to help customers, there’s always plenty of spoiled produce, never enough cashiers, rude workers, u-boats filled with products to be put out are left all over the place while open at night. the final two things that made me decide not to shop here any more is that there was a lady who didn’t want to use self check out and she kindly asked if the self check out attendant could ring her up. he of course said no and made her ring her groceries up. i have a problem with this because the employee is there to help the customers and because we shouldn’t have to check our selves out. what ever happened to being paid to do a job? wandering around watching people scan items isn’t a job. the second thing is that i wanted to buy pop its and sparklers but i had my younger siblings with me. they’re 15 and 11. i was told i was not allowed to buy sparklers or pop its because the 15 year didn’t have an id. tell me, what id is a 15 year old supposed to have? funnily enough when i asked why the 11 year old didn’t need an id the woman shook her head like she didn’t know. i shop here several times a week. each time spending between 125-200. i simply will not be shopping here ever again.

Big and clean. Have the shop from home at this location. Used it a few times and no issues. Friendly staff.

This is not a good grocery store. This store went through a renovation relatively recently, but you can’t tell now. There are loose floor tiles and is overall need of a deep cleaning. The bakery runs out of store baked bread often. The produce is absolutely terrible. I’ve found rotting peppers on the shelf and moldy strawberries in the package. The shallot selection is often soft and moldy. It’s almost as if the produce is purchased because it’s about to be thrown away, and passed off as fresh. I purchased swiss cheese around the holiday and found it moldy after opening it. The aisles often contain too many cardboard displays making it difficult to negotiate. I needed distilled water and there was none in the store. There is also an overabundance of the Bowl & Basket store brand while many name brands seem to have been phased out. Unfortunately there isn’t another grocery store in Chester, you have to go to Middletown, Warwick, Monroe or Washingtonville so this store gets to be mediocre to bad, and get away with it.
