Love coming to acks for feeders and supplies. Been eyeing a pac man frog for a bit but I like to stop by to check out the new animals as well. Very friendly and helpful willing to go out of their way to make sure you get what you need even if they don’t carry it.

Everybody who works here is kind, understanding, and knows their stuff when it comes to owning exotics. Their prices are reasonable and affordable when compared to big-chain corporations. From what I've seen, the animals are well cared for and seem very healthy. I love coming here for my reptile supplies!

Terrible care, treats the pets like trash as if they don't matter. Horrible. Place should literally be shut down. More than half of the reviews is from either freinds, bots or just plain morons that don't know anything about how animals should be kept and taken care of. The workers are literally sociopaths that lack empathy and give me the chills. This place is awful and no im not being dramatic. Trashy, stinky and inhumane.

I went into acks to purchase a small rat as a pet, while I was waiting at the tank to claim my rattie, someone came in to purchase one for a feeder. Cool that's what they are there for BUT the way the employee ripped this little rat out of the tank by its tail and held it in the air and dropped it about foot down into the box was just very inhumane and wrong. And while I was standing there I also noticed several rats with crusty eyes, cuts, and even broken limbs. One baby was dragging his back leg. Then another customer came in an asked for 3 pinkies. He picked them all up by there backs and heads and same thing pretty much threw them into a box. Absolutely sad the way these animals are treated feeder or not.

First time guinea pig purchase two weeks ago. The visit seemed to go well other than long waits to see staff. Employee picked up the guinea pig, looked at its parts, and said, "This is definitely a female," Two weeks later, paired with the other female guinea pig we purchased elsewhere, we discovered the first guinea pig (from Acks) is definitely male. Either the employee was inept or malicious, and either one makes for a bad experience.

This morning I had called to ask if they had any lion haired bunnies. He told me they did, I asked him to send me photos before I made the trip out there so he sent me photos. He sent me photos of a dead bunny, at the moment I didn’t realize the bunny was dead. When I had gotten to the store he proceeded to take the bunny out of the cage petting it right in front me & stating “oh I’m sorry he is no longer with us” I thought it was kinda weird that the bunny was in the exact position he was in the photo & wasn’t like he took a photo of the bunny inside the cage. He took the bunny outside the cage, took the photo & sent it to me then put a show on when I had gotten to the store. I don’t think I will ever forget this moment.

This is a gem of a pet store. I’ve gotten rats and a gecko from them and all have been in excellent health. Our gecko is now 3 and thriving. Their bugs are the best and they’ve fed my beardie for 4 years and she hasn’t had an issue with parasites since I started feeding exclusively from Acks. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable about exotics and their animals are extremely healthy and well cared for. You can tell they love animals. The shop is clean and it’s a great shopping experience overall. I’m a loyal customer for life.
