Great gym if you like having to use portapotties outside when it literally 17 degrees. Unreal. Sent email saying no lockers available Thursday to Sunday. It's now Tuesday and still using portapotties. Maybe remodel 1 lockeroom at a time so there are bathrooms avaiable inside in FEBRUARY IN NEW YORK! If they would have waited 1 week the weather would have been fine. They raised prices, and yearly fees and told noone. . They got rid of all Smith machines, arc trainers as well as many other heavily used cardio equipment. Terrible do not reccomend.

Absolute trash company ran by trash employees. The only way they make money is by scamming people and trying to charge them without their knowledge (clearly I'm not the only one as seen by others reviews.) 100% needs a lawsuit against them for fraud. They also hang up on you when you try to get answers.

When this was Aspen it was so great. Since Crunch fitness took over it has been terrible. First of all Aspen prided themselves on the cleanliness if this place but crunch DOES NOT! They raised prices on memberships and never told any members, and when asked about it they say they thought they sent an email. Empoyee said everyone keeps asking her but she has no answers about it. Seems like if everyone is asking then maybe they should send another email!? Or a text... they text when its going to be closed for snow... but cant let anyone know they will be charging them more money. They also changed memberships that we already had, splitting family memberships into individual memberships and each charged seperately. Again didnt tell anyone what was happeneing.we didnt find out until i saw my bank statement and asked about it. No one recieved an email I've asked around the gym. People are quite upset with the shadiness of how they conduct business. Have to sign in with a phone now, which is silly not everyone is a teen with a phone always in their hand. The older memebrs very much dislike this. The employees dont interact with memebers in a friendly way. The staff (especially the 2 blondes) are rude and unfriendly. They do not grwet you ir even have a smile for anyone. And so unhelpful! I was told by one employee they keep getting asked by many members about pricing by she just works here and doesn't have answers. If this is your job why can't you help me with my membership? Ive updated my payment information with 3 seperate employees and still everytime my son comes in they say his payment is expiring. But noone knows why and noone can help. They crammed so many machines in so tightly that it is now uncomfortable and are almost touching the person next you just like planet fitnness?. So many people canceling and moving gyms. 3 people behind desk at a time and not 1 of them even acknowledged me until i asked if one of them could please help. They also do not answer the phone if they are playing on their cell phones. I miss the friendly staff and atmosphere that was Aspen. Big downgrade but raise in price since crunch took over. Currently looking for a new gym since all my family and friends cancled their memberships here for a different gym as they didn't like the new management here either. Sneaky and bad business to raise prices without even an alert. We miss the previous comfort and kindness of the old aspen.

Haven't been to this gym in years. Used to love it. Was grandfathered in at $5/month nearly 20 years ago. I'd have been happy to pay even having moved to another city. However I received a bill for $130.99 via email! Apparently because my card isn't tied to the account now. Note, I've not been in that facility for nearly 2 years. Changing pricing arbitrary is not acceptable and poor business without good communication. I will never set for in the gym again nor pay for monthly costs I've never incurred. Major thumbs down for a garbage price increase.

While not used in the last several years, Ive kept the membership as a back up. I pay annually, the fee was minimal as I paid much up front. The place is being bought out by Crunch, I went to ask for my balance back, including an annual membership fee of $39, that is due in September. The blonde working at the Cicero location asked me if I was going somewhere else, which I have been going to a gym that is more expensive, and I told her. She said Aspen is no more and for what I pay at the other gym, I’m worried about $59.00. Worried, no, I paid up front including a membership fee for a place that as she said “is no more” good faith as I have for many years, want it back, yes. I do hope the new owners have better customer service than the Blonde. Will be leaving the review with them as well.

Im giving this gym 2 stars not for the facility but for all the people that use this gym and take an enormous amounts of time using the machines and bench's. Very hard to get a workout in when they take 30 minutes on units.

Nikki the old owner is completely rude and unprofessional. No wonder why they had to sell aspen to crunch.

Honestly I never complain but Jesus the owners and people running this place are the worst. Tried canceling numerous times after I moved out of state. Now that I'm home for a short time, I go to the location I usually went too and they are gone... they charged me and aren't even here!!!!!

I’ve been a member since 2011. Always found it to be a clean and well kept facility. In August of 2022 I slipped off my stepladder painting my garage. I totally ruptured my quad tendon. Completely pulled it off the quad muscle. After surgery and 6 weeks of PT, I was ok’d by my surgeon to resume gym activities.I started once a week sessions with Luke Angiolillo one of aspens trainers. He has done wonders for restrengthening, getting the flexibility and stability back in my knee.I also do a couple more days a week on my own.If you like someone to introduce you to overall fitness or specialized training, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LUKE!

DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY. Within 5 minutes I knew this was not the gym for me. Also treated very rudely by staff who didn’t seem to want to answer any questions. Did not feel valued. I felt like just a number. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Aspen fitness is the best gym in CNY hands down. The staff is awesome and the equipment is amazing. So don’t bother with anything else and go to Aspen.

It’s a good gym to workout in. I have been a member for maybe 15 plus years. My only complaint is they don’t ever get new equipment like the other gyms have. I don’t pay a lot, so not much to complain about, overall a solid gym just not very fancy.

Been going here for years but recently the increase in 15-18 year old kids standing around, 5-6 in a group deep, doing nothing has tripled. When ya walk in and all machines and weights are taken but only 3 pairs of keys hanging up it annoying. Wish there was a time where "kids" couldn't go so the adults can enjoy a workout.
