“If there were an Olympic sport for liquor stores, this place would take home the gold. The selection? *Chef’s kiss*—from top-shelf whiskey to budget-friendly wines that taste way fancier than they should. Craft beers? Oh yeah, they’ve got those too.
But the real MVPs? The staff. Seriously, they’re like personal booze concierges. I walked in clueless, and within minutes, they had me feeling like a whiskey expert (or at least someone who could confidently nod and pretend to be one). Friendly, helpful, and totally not pushy—just good vibes all around.
Prices are solid, the store’s always well-stocked, and if you’re lucky, you might even find a hidden gem on the shelves. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bottle or on the hunt for something special, this is the place. Highly recommend!

This place is local, indie, and legit- has all the wines you’ve been looking for and can’t find at your average liquor store. Plus he was kind enough to give me some fresh vegetables grown from his backyard. 10/10 recommend as the go-to Wine spot in Syracuse ?”
“This is a great outlet for wine and spirits. The store's very well lit, stocked and organized and they boast impressive selections, as well as a loyalty program. Did i mention excellent service??You can always expect to see a smiling face which is easy to take for granted. I've been in and out of stores though where they can't manage a general greeting, much less look up from their phone for 2 minutes.The owner here's been kind enough to order bottles I'd trouble locating elsewhere, all while maintaining competitive pricing and I love they have a website.Sugarwood Wine & Liquors is definitely a community driven business where a mutually beneficial relationship can be forged allowing both parties to benefit.I honestly don't waste my time going anywhere else when I'm in town, and if you find yourself in need of a bottle, I highly recommend you don't either. “Not the greatest pipe selection. But they do have some quality standard options from Peterson, Savinelli and Missouri Meerschaum. Pipe tobacco is about the same. Not a huge selection, they some of the more popular tobaccos from Peterson, Mac Baren & GL Pease”

“First thing to note about this location is that while you can see the sign from Erie Blvd, there's no entrance on the blvd-- you have to go down the weird little triangular road in back and park in the adjacent parking lot. Sounds obvious, but when you see the sign at a glance in the seconds before the traffic light changes, you don't necessarily have time to put that all together. Looking to avoid crowds, I visited in the morning. No one else besides staff was in the store. They have a good selection, and their prices seem to be a little cheaper than some other stores in the area. The cashier was nice and quick in ringing up my order. If you need to grab a bottle in a hurry, I think this is a good spot.”
“Nice and helpful staff. Overnight parking is available if space is available inside the compound. They allowed me to park for night. No washroom. They open up T 7am. Quick unloading. Bit tight backing due to parked trailers and fence. Parking is not allowed on the nearby roads.”

My only issue was there website said what I was looking for was there and in stock but when I went to the store on the same day that I had looked at the website they didn't have the product I was looking for and I understand that it is a seasonal product but your website should be kept up., other than that an absolutely great experience I will definitely be going back”
“I shop at Moonlight Deli often, but I do not need directions so I am not sure why my timeline says I got directions to this store. Perhaps, my Stalker heard I may go to Moonlight & they needed directions there? Great store with nice Employees. My only complaint is that the cashiers seem to disappear & get replaced monthly. I am just getting to know my Cashier when suddenly they disappear!”

“Go to liquor stores in the area. This place is always well stocked. Has great customer service. Only downside is to access this store there are 6-7 stairs to climb. So for those incapable or struggle with stairs, I wouldn’t recommend this place. If stairs are not a problem for you I highly recommend this liquor store! You will be happy you did!”

“We had a wedding rehearsal dinner for 18 here in a private room just off of the bar. We ordered off the menu as opposed to a buffet. Our server was terrific and the menu was varied enough that everyone found something to enjoy. The chicken riggies were a big hit. The bar was packed and they also had a live musician playing 60s and 70s top 40 hits on acoustic guitar. Obviously, this was a local hangout. I'd call it a dive bar, but they had a more than decent selection of spirits, and draft beer. A hidden gem right off of Cariier Circle.”

“Just moved down the road and needed a new go-to liquor store. We’ve been loyal to the same one for years, but decided to give this place a try since it’s only a few minutes away and I’m so glad we did!
I went in to grab some wine to celebrate our night, and right away the customer service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, which made such a great first impression. I’m a pretty shy person, and walking into new places can be nerve-wracking for me, but they made me feel completely comfortable.
They have a huge selection, and the layout is super organized, which my ADHD brain really appreciated. Everything was easy to find and neatly sorted.
Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find that their prices are actually cheaper than any other liquor store I’ve been to. Seriously, such a win.
My only regret is not finding this place sooner,I definitely would’ve made the drive! But the kind and helpful staff have made this move feel so much better.
Definitely my new spot. 100% recommend!”
