My visit to the tea room was an overall good experience, with a mix of highs and lows.Let's start with the sandwiches. The variety and flavors of the chicken salad, crab, egg, and cucumber sandwiches offered a satisfying range of tastes, from savory to refreshing. Oddly making them the highlight of the tea service because I’m particular about my sandwiches. Moving on to the scones. They had a crispy outside and soft inside and were served with delectable spreads like jam, cream, and lemon curd, they provided the perfect balance of sweetness and richness. Now, onto the dessert tier. The raspberry cheesecake stole the show with its decadent flavor and creamy texture, the rest of the desserts fell a bit short. Lastly, the tea itself was underwhelming. The absence of a tea warmer had my water cooling too quickly, diminishing the overall experience. Additionally, serving only bagged tea detracted from the authenticity and quality that one expects from a tea room. The ambiance was nice but I felt bad that there was only one server running the show. Overall, I may come back.

We went to Adelaide’s for dinner and the food was outstanding! The service was second-to-none. I booked a reservation for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. Bradley called to confirm my reservation, but he didn’t tell me that they had ended up deciding not to open that night because a private party had booked out the rest of the weekend. Instead, he opened just for us. We were amazed! He cooked, bar tended, and served the food. It was the most special dining experience, and my boyfriend was convinced that I secretly rented out the place. I’m so grateful that Bradley stayed open and allowed us to have a one-of-a-kind experience. Everything from the cocktails to the appetizers to the meals to the desserts were incredible!

I went for afternoon tea at, which is served on Thursday and Saturday afternoons. The service was gracious and the cakes and cookies were delicious. The tea, however, was from tea bags. It was a quality brand of tea but still a bit disappointing. The value for money was not really there in my opinion. I might check out the inn, though. They have rooms with fireplaces which sounds very cozy. I doubt I'd go back for the tea. I can buy a lot of cakes and tea for $45 somewhere else.

I enjoy cooking on Thanksgiving but recent shoulder surgery forced my small family of four to go out this year We decided on Adelaide's at tge Asa Ransom house for Thanksgiving dinner. They had only 2 waitresses in the filled dining room that night. These 2 young ladies just could not keep up with the pace. Our evening began with a bug in my daughter's drink and went down from there. The salads were fresh and tasty, but although the squash soup might have been good it was hard to enjoy served cold. We waited 1 1/2 hours for the main entree. Since it was Thanksgiving we all ordered turkey. Unfortunately, despite the wàit our dinners were cold,as well., We had to ask for cranberry sauce and after15 minutes it was deposited on our table in small plastic containers. The serving of turkey appeared much smaller than what I had seen brought to tables earlier. We left disappointed. Won't be back.

Almost everything was better than expected...our room, the the parlor, and especially the proprietor who is also a chef that prepared a perfect breakfast every morning. Quite a welcome change compared to staying at a brand hotel near the interstate.

So, have a gift certificate and we couldn’t use it during Covid & their restaurant was closed also for a long while. I called a bunch of times to see if we could use it and couldn’t. Then, we ended up putting it aside & you lose track of it. Now they won’t honor the gift certificate because it’s a bit over the 5 years and the guy who answered was a pompous jerk. I’ll never go to this place, EVER!

We loved our stay here. It’s dog friendly and it’s close to Niagara Falls. The house and room is well cleaned and thoughtfully decorated. Owner and staff are the epitome of hospitality. Would recommend to anyone!

I just had my 5th stay at the Asa Ransom House in Clarence, NY. The historic inn was built in 1799. It is now under new ownership/management as the previous owner retired and sold the inn. It is in good hands. The present owner is also a chef. Our breakfasts were delicious and nutritious both days, and served in a timely manner in a lovely dining room. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet despite facing the street. It had a lovely front porch, and was conveniently located near the electric vehicle charging station (a bonus!). The inn is in beautiful condition, and has lovely gardens. If you like historic inns that have been updated to have modern comfort and conveniences, this is the place for you. You can easily walk to a number of good restaurants nearby, and the inn itself serves dinner on Friday and Saturday during the summer season.

I went to enjoy the afternoon tea service with my mom and sister and it was perfect! It was a relaxing environment and the food and tea were phenomenal. Also, furniture and utensils are beautiful. I would really recommend it and I'm excited to come back in the future!
