Absolutely amazing staff. My chinchilla stayed there for several days under their care. They were so caring and allowed me to visit each day for as long as I wanted to, I'm so grateful to have had the staff there for me during this terrible time. He unfortunately didn't make it but the staff did everything for him, it was just his time. ❤️

We are so fortunate to have this practice in our area. The compassion and empathy shown by all the staff is nothing short of incredible. We have had several challenging situations over the past year with some of our parrots. Every time the doctors here took the time to thoroughly explain everything to us, from how the diagnosis was made to how and why they are being treated with the chosen methods. They are always patient and understanding with all of our questions, confirming we understand what is going on. We have been seen here for everything from well visits, to surgery, behavioral issues and even the passing of one our African grays who suddenly became ill. This was in the beginning of the pandemic, when things were changing by the minute. Our bird showed signs of illness and I called the office right away and made an appointment for later that day. Unfortunately, he had a seizure so I rushed him there, without even calling. Once I arrived, one of the vet techs rushed to our car to get him and take him back. While we ultimately made the decision to let him go peacefully I will always be thankful to ALL of the staff here who showed us such kindness during such an awful situation. I know they felt terrible, but sometimes, no matter what interventions are done, they cannot be saved. They assisted us with arrangements for getting Oliver cremated and gave us a clay imprint of his claw with his name. When I returned to pick up his ashes one of the techs even made us a gift with some feathers (so unexpected and kind) which hangs to this day in our truck. They have always been there when we needed help, always willing to fit us in for an urgent appointment, always calling with updates on a patient left there overnight, or calling a few days after surgery to make sure they are doing ok. No matter what the situation, I know we can trust the staff here to take care of our beloved pets as if they are part of their own family.

I can only put a quarter of what my true review was due to a word limit. The rest in the pictures below. My vet was Taylor Lewis DVM, but I dealt with more of the staff. This is just my personal experience and feelings towards this practice. There were details of my experience leading up to this that can not fit on this review. I was put on the phone with the vet and told that she had bad news and unfortunately Theo died getting anesthetic before the procedure even started. I am heartbroken, shocked, and devastated by this news. It did not even pass my mind that this could be an outcome of a neutering procedure. Of course there are always risks with anesthesia, but I wish I someone could have explained to me how big the risks can be with bunnies. I was not prepared whatsoever for this outcome. I called back after I gathered my bearings to get more details about what happened. I went there approx. 30 minutes after I called. They led me and my mother into a room with him, and we just stood with him for about 20 minutes. No one came into the room or anything to talk to us. We could hear people in the back talking and laughing, and one person on the phone speaking very loudly said "You are not allowed to speak to me in that manner" and hung up the phone super loud. I just felt that was inappropriate when I was grieving over the loss of my pet. We left the room and went to the front desk to get more details on what to do next. We asked if there is any money, we would be getting back from the procedure considering the neutering never even happened or was started. We were then told that we owe $67.00 for trying to save his life. I was shocked by this information. It is not about money or anything like that. But asking me to pay more money when my bunny just died? I am in the healthcare field. I completely understand paying for drugs and procedures already done. The neutering did not even happen, and that was the bulk of the money I had paid. I was hysterical at this point and asked for the bill to be sent to my house. The receptionist then told me and my mother, that we would not be allowed to leave until we paid the amount. We walked out knowing that they would just send us the bill, which should not have been a problem regardless. I realized that we did not make any plans for Theo, and I was worried what would happen to him if I left. I went back in, and there was no one there so I knocked on one of the doors. The vet tech came out and I started asking questions about Theo getting cremated, when I could get him and all the details about that (keep in mind, I am crying and trying to hold my composure the best I can). The vet tech was very nasty to me, rolling her eyes and being short with my questions. Showing no compassion whatsoever. I was told that I would have to pay another $60 to have him cremated. Once again, it is not about money, but I could not believe how much I would be paying for my bunny who was no longer alive. When I went out to my car, I decided that I wanted to take him home and have him buried or cremated somewhere else because that is how much I distrust this practice. I went back in and told them I changed my mind. The vet tech who had an attitude with my earlier said "So are you taking him or leaving him" in a nasty tone even though I just said I changed my mind and wanted to take him. They closed him in the door to "wrap him up" would not give him to me until I signed a promissory note. Once again, its not about money. But in the moment, I just could not deal with the trauma, the lack of compassion from the staff and I wanted to be alone. I was signing the document until I realized they were asking for my social security number, drivers ID, driver's license, and other important information. This document basically said, if I do not pay this amount in 30 days, I could be arrested. I could not believe what I was reading. The complete and utter lack of compassion. My 7-month-old bunny just died here unexpectedly, and all they care about is 67 dollars when I am clearly not

This was my first time here. I switched to them because I didn't want to just hand over my gpigs for vet visits at my other vet. The staff all were friendly and knowledgeable. Dr S was great with all of my gpigs. The Tech was awesome too. Definitely recommend for any with exotic pets.

A very nice place to bring your exotic pets. The veterinarians work with you while trying to figure out a game plan for your pet's needs. Been going here for 3 years now. First found them for help with my pet rat and continued to come here for vaccines for my ferret.Prices aren't too bad. For my rat they really laid out my options and worked with me, my rat and our budget. And now they have decent steady prices that aren't too steep compared to other local places. They handle my pets well, my pets love them. The staff are friendly and sweet and the office is very warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend Dr.Wade and her staff to anyone in need of exotic pet care!Covid Care-They temp check all visitors upon checking in, enforce mask wearing, supply hand sanitizer, and limit the amount of people allowed in the lobby.
