Safelite was extremely communicative, helpful, and accommodating for my windshield replacement. I was scheduled two days out and they offered me an option for the next day when a cancellation became available. Due to weather, we had to switch to the location on Sheridan and they informed me well in advance. The technician was done in 45 minutes. There was no wait time after I arrived - my car was in the shop immediately. They have a very comfortable waiting area with snacks, coffee, and wifi. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful.

This was my first time using this specific service location for Safelite. I haven't had a problem with their service in the past but this one was different. Everything leading up to the post-service pick-up went smoothly. When dropping my car off, I was informed my vehicle would be ready before 5pm when the location closes and that I could expect a phone call. When my work day was wrapping up and the time crept up to 4:50pm, I hadn't received a phone call or email that the car was ready or needed to be kept longer. I had to call Safelite customer service to have them get a hold of the shop to inquire about the car. They informed customer service that the car was ready and asked if I could get there before they close at 5pm. I needed to take a Lyft/Uber to the location so it would take me at least 20-30min before I could get there after requesting the ride, waiting for the driver to arrive, and the total trip time. The location said that they would wait a little longer before they head home for the day until around 5:15pm. As I was waiting for my Lyft/Uber to arrive, I called Safelite customer service again to make sure they hadn't left yet and that I would get there closer to 5:20-5:25pm. The store informed me they couldn't stay any longer. They said they would leave the key near the car as I didn't have my spare on me and leaving it in the car would risk the car doors locking automatically on me. As I arrived at around 5:25pm to the location, they were getting in their cars to leave for the night. As I was getting into my vehicle to leave, one of the staff members asked me to leave a review once I got their survey and that 9's and 10's would be appreciated.I'm a bit shocked they would ask me to leave such a positive review when the post-service experience was less than stellar. If I were to utilize Safelite again for a windshield replacement, I'd have to head to a different location. On top of the lack of notice/information about picking up my car, they left black debris on the dash of the car after the replacement. A simple shop vac or wipe down of the area would have sufficed in clearing out the leftover debris from the replacement. There was a serious lack of care on their end about their inability to get back to me on the status of my car. If they needed me to get the car the next day, I would have been understanding, but the lack of a phone call or email asking to do this is what led me to write this whole story out. I hope others have a better experience with this location than I did.

I have been here FOUR TIMES. What was suppose to be a simple glass window fix became us bringing the car back because the door would no longer open and shut. I showed the tech that the car door panel was not put back on correctly and he apologized an explained that it was a technicians error and that they would fix it. As soon as we got home the door was again not opening and closing and this was with the panel back on correctly. When we brought it in again we were told that the piece that makes the handle open and close was loose and that they had to screw it back. We go home and again the door doesn’t work so when we call they say the piece must be Broken we’ll have to order a new one we will call you back when it comes in. Yesterday my husband goes to bring it in this time they “fix” the piece only to find when we come home and lower the window the window is now making a loud sound that it was not making previous to them touching the door again. When my husband called to speak to a manager we were told that it was not in their systems that we came anytime after the glass repair and that that sounds like an issue that happens with older cars.(Basically even thought it happened directly after they touched it it’s an us problem) Our car is a 2017 with no prior issues before bringing it here. When I spoke to customer care they apologized let me know that it was safelights issue and that they would have to reimburse us to fix it. Customer care then asked me to hold for a moment while they called the location only for them to then go okay they they will take it from here. To which we where taken in circles again with the same tech who had claimed to fix our problems previously now telling us that he was sure someone told us the first time we brought the car in that there was something wrong regulator and that’s not something they fix or have anything to do with. We had previously never been told anything about an issue with any regulator. The manger made no sense either. If we where told from the begging that it was the regulator why would we come back time and time again with THEM being the ones asking us to come in and get the door fixed. Their stories didn’t line up or make sense. One worker was saying he remembered all the times we came in, meanwhile the manager was saying we had only ever gotten our glass fixed there and that she had no record of us ever bringing our car there after the fact. She said this while in the next breath saying she also was 100% sure it was our regular that was broken because her tech wrote it down when he fixed the problem originally. Makes no sense 100% unprofessional. Never had a problem in the past with this specific location but after the hell and back we have had with this door never again will I came back.

I’ve never been so annoyed with a company in my life. You come to replace my windshield. You break my wiper motor after you replaced my wipers. It’s been OVER TWO WEEKS and everytime I call it’s “we haven’t forgotten you, we are checking for parts” who do I send the bill to for having to take it to a mechanic shop to be fixed because you left me with no vehicle to drive for over two weeks because IT IS ILLEGAL TO DRIVE WITHOUT A WIPER BLADE.This is horrible customer service and until this has been addressed and taken care of I will write this on every review, and every post until it is.People will hear my story about how awful you really are.Disgusting.

During my business with Safelite I dealt with 4 employees. Every one of them was professional, kind and responsive ! I would hire every one of them. This work was not covered by insurance and after some shopping around I learned that their prices were competitive. So glad I went there

Safelight voice messaging system is terrible. It took 3 appointments to get my wipers on correctly. Called about windows stickers falling off and never received letter to get refinanced. Terrible customer service

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I made an appointment to get my windshield replaced, was told it would take around 2 1/2 hrs to 3 hrs. Had my husband pick me up and within 30 minutes they called and told me it was done. I picked it up, the location was closed and keys left in my car. That’s fine. Once getting in my car, my review mirror was loose and barley hanging on, both my wipers were not working, everything under the hood was just barely put back together - everything was loose and could twist tighter with my fingers. I came back to get everything fixed, my husband called ahead explained everything that was wrong with it, I get there and am greeted by the rudest mechanic. He asks for me to come out there and explain everything that’s wrong with it and show him. Talked to me like I was stupid, tightened my mirror and told me that’s all he could do. This was by far the worst experience of my life. When you read the reviews.. listen to them. Pick a different location - pay out of pocket and get it fixed at Gerber Collision or United Auto Glass - choose anything else than going to this location and this business. You will regret it I’m sure.

2 visits same problem .Warped wavy glass installed .When pointed out to the desk helper right after installation she agreed .Install tech tried to dismiss the fact that the glass was wavy the second time installed .2 appointments for one window and time totally wasted on inferior product .Now a 3rd time has to be scheduled! If you have a choice between glass installs pick the second choice , not a fan of Safelite and second hand product they install .

October 12th I get a crack in my windshield that needs replacement. I schedule an appointment. (I can only do saturdays) on Oct 22nd. I drop off car and 30 minutes later I get a call saying the new windshield has a scratch in it and they need to order a new one. I thought we’ll that’s an inconvenience but I’m glad they didn’t just install in anyway and try to pass it off as okay. So I get rescheduled for Nov 5th. I get a text confirmation asking me to reply, which I did. Next day I get a call confirmation which I answered and confirmed. Then the day before my appointment I get a missed call and an immediate cancellation notice. I call back, no answer and no voicemail available. I call back the day of my appointment, no answer and no voicemail available. I call on Monday and talked to a nice representative and she said that it was strange and that they were open both days and that it must have been a new hires mistake for cancellation and nobody must have heard the phone…They rescheduled me for November 12th because the lady squeezed me in because she understood I was frustrated. I arrive on the 12th and they ordered the wrong glass for my car….The worker there assured me that the next appointment would be smooth and that he would personally call me to update me on the glass. It is scheduled for Nov 26 (another 2 weeks) and I have called every day this week to confirm the right glass is there yet they do not pick up the phone and they do not have a voicemail…I would not recommend this place to anyone.Service: Auto glass repair

I will use another location if I need a new/repaired windshield.First, don't ask for a "10" on a survey before even checking me out or me seeing my vehicle. Second, be more clear when quoting prices for wipe blades. Third, and most importantly, DO NOT HAVE A CUSTOMERS NEW WINDSHIELD DIRTY INSIDE AND OUT. I was shocked. Let alone my truck was filthy.

The receptionist at the window was pleasant even though she seemed overworked and very busy. The waiting room is small but comfortable. The tech that brought my truck around at the end was very pleasant as well. The only reason this isn't a five star review was, I could hear arguing and yelling coming from the people that were working in the garage. Kinda unprofessional. Other then that it was a very pleasant experience. ~Would return.
