We had the Rehearsal Dinner for our wedding in the private event space, and it was perfect! The food and service was amazing, and the space was the perfect size for our party of 30. Kassandra and her team were amazing to work with. The wood boat bar was a major highlight among our guests. We would recommend them to anyone looking to have a small, private event here!

Wood Boat Brewery was one of our favorite places in Clayton, except they were very inconsistent. The first time we went, we had a really long wait for our food -- we were there for 2.5 hours, which was a bummer because we don't want to be inside for long meals on vacation. The beer was good, and so was the pizza. Skip the barbecue sandwich, though -- it's awful. Our second time was perfect -- great pizzas and beer, reasonable service times. The third time, the pizzas were dry and overcooked, and we also had to wait nearly two hours for the food. So I dropped a star because they were so streaky -- we never knew if we'd get a good pizza or not, or if we'd be there for three hours. But when they're "on," they're great! We recommend sitting on the porch -- the inside gets REALLY loud. But watch out for the bees.

We were in Clayton on a chilly Sunday afternoon in October to attend an event at the opera house, so we had few places to choose from for dinner afterward. Our intended place had a 45 minute wait, so we made our way over to the Wood Boat after checking our "Find Me Gluten Free" app. We were not disappointed!! It was GREAT!!! I can't get over what great service we had considering the place was packed. Thanks Joe! Their pizzas, both regular and gluten free, were delicious. We'll be back!

Great pizza and food, all around. The staff is hard working and friendly. I highly recommend the jalapeño poppers, the pulled pork, and Buffalo chicken pizzas! You can personalize pizzas also, so no worries! They have a wide variety of beers, including their own beers. My personal favorite is the Old Town Stout. The rest of their beer is good. Order a flight and find out for yourself! Highly reccomend!

Great place to have some food and beer! Pizza combinations are super creative and tasty. Wood oven pizza is my go to. Huge patio outside and lots of room inside with tables and a bar. Service was great.

There were two couples of us. We each surprisingly ordered the Asparagus Pizza.The pizza was good but, very short on asparagus.

Went to eat there today heard how great it was. Went in sat down with family. The table was a mess. No one came near us or acknowledge usHAPPY Birthday was song to a guy. We left so sad I really wanted to try it

We stopped in for lunch while visiting the boat museum. Food, beverages, excellent servers and right across the street from the museum. Highly recommend!

Awesome brewery! Great location, welcoming ambience, good service ... and most importantly, all eight beers in the two flights I had ranged somewhere between really good and outstanding! We visited twice after Labor Day 2023 -- once we had appetizers as well, which were very good. Possibly the best brewery around ...

The specialty pizzas were amazing! We had the popper pizza and pulled pork pizza. Both were some of the best pizzas we have ever had! Our server was so friendly. Great place for lunch and dinner!

It was ok. Alex our waitress was nice and then big parties started coming to sit outside. Tons of dogs and if you like that, great. Go inside if you don’t. Because there were lots of them outside. Then we just ordered two drinks and two sandwiches. Nothing major. Awhile goes by and my wine glass is empty. The waitress had brought out drinks for the large tables…no biggie. So when she walks by I just ask for another glass of wine and possibly my salad (I ordered a side salad with my meal). She snottily responds “I was waiting on the larger tables” . Yea I saw that. I wasn’t waving my hand like a maniac asking for wine, as my son is in the restaurant business. So she comes back in a bit, with the wine and our food. She slams the food down on the glass table and I know the table and plates are glass so it makes a noise but she did it abruptly. Then, throws the bag of chips down my company had with their sandwich and starts talking in a loud voice to us for no reason. She came back later and asked if everything was ok in the same loud voice. Sorry we weren’t a big table and I just wanted a glass of wine and food that’s not cold. My son would’ve been angry over this even. I usually leave a 25-45% tip at least. Her tip reflected her attitude. The food was good but minuscule in size. The “side salad” is just a few pieces of lettuce and some tomatoes. The coleslaw was in a table spoon sized cup and pulled pork sandwich was good but small also with very few pieces of pork. Way too long a wait. Ignored when we were finally seated then served the wrong food. The appetizer. Wings, came out after lunch was served and the server blamed it on the "air fryer" taking longer , as if we are complete morons. If you get chips and pickle ask because we got jalapeño chips that fried my taste buds. I would pass until they get their act together.The couple de grasse was we asked for water the server put four glasses and a jug on our table and walked away.Terrible service!!!P.S. just when I thought the pain was over I waited 13 minutes for someone to take my payment, we almost walked out.
