This bank is shady don't do business with them!!! I've had to report them to the better business bureau. I have a personal loan with them and when I tried to pay it off the stated it's my fault that the account information I gave them was incorrect when in fact it's their phone lines that skip while talking. They continue to charge me interest on my loan while they "looked into it". They also messed up my credit while they were supposedly looking at the issue. They did NOT call back when they stated they would which caused the payment to be "late" which accumulated more interest even though I tried to handle this situation long before payment was even due. They refuse to allow customers to speak to a manager and their customer service representatives shouts at you and will try to talk over you. I am warning everyone not to do business with this company.

Terrible service. Not willing to help customers at all. The woman at the counter was rude and not willing to take care of customer. It was very disappointed. It doesn't appear that she has adequate knowledge to perform her job well. Serving customers should be number 1 priority to all banks. This branch needs a lot of improvements on how to serve customers better.

This is a review if the entire bank, not just one specific branch. This bank's technology is shameful! I mean it's truly embarrassing! If you are interested in online banking, a mobile app that functions, this is not the bank for you. Giant thumbs down!!!

In my opinion: Horrible Customer and Obsolete Technology. The old manager, Debby was great, the current manager is very rude. I went into the branch and asked her if it was possible to waive an overdraft fee, since it had less than 24 hrs of being posted and the bank didn't notify me of it. She told me that it wasn't a bank error and that I should keep better track of my spending. While I was asking her other questions she was always cutting me off and trying to get rid of me. At the end I told her that I was disappointed of the obsolete technology of their bank and the lack of communication with their customers, and that I will close my account. She told me "It's ok, I understand" and began to leave her office. I moved from Trustco to NBT expecting a better service, but they're both horrible banks with expensive fees, an obsolete system, and a lack of respect for their clients.
