“I am absolutely obsessed with this nursery! Every time I go there, every single employee is helpful and kind and as knowledgeable as it gets for this area. I even overheard a conversation between an employee assisting and elderly gentleman with finding a specific kind of tree and she informed him that this specific tree that he's describing is actually Considered invasive for upstate New York and because of this they do not sell that specific kind of tree and I would like to say a couple things about that: first I love that this employee was able to determine what tree he was talking about just from a description of how it leaves look during the year and throughout the year. Second, I respect and appreciate and support their commitment to prevent preventing invasive species from being re-introduced or introduced again by gardeners in the area. The roses that I selected were very fragrant and healthy and transplanted seamlessly into my garden. Likewise, they were not overly expensive, which can sometimes be expected from small business nurseries (no judgment, it's just the usual and it's understandable) each rosebush was in I think a 3 gallon pot and they were $63 each. The combination pot that I purchased was 20% off During Memorial Day weekend and its original price was $32. I was definitely pleasantly surprised at their selection of combination pots that included more than just the typical pansies. Overall, I will definitely be shopping here for all of my gardening needs going forward!”

“A lovely woman-owned plant shop in Schenectady, NY. The owner is super knowledgeable, patient and helpful!The plants from UPshining transition well into my home. I even have an orchid from here that has thrived throughout the winter. My orchids from elsewhere typically don't do well.Best purchase so far... a bushy monstera deliciosa. Bonus: they sell the most darling flower/plant themed earrings. Art as well. Happy customer.”

“I was looking for perennials and bulbs, even though the season for planting is starting to end. I was able to get a good deal on a nice German Iris, and the bulb selection was small, but quite varied. I'm thinking of returning for some more bulbs soon. And they even had a friendly orange and white cat that greeted me on my way in!!! Cute!!!”
“The land you purchased was farmed by my family for many years - first my grandparents and then my mom and dad. I have many fond memories growing up there and will always hold that farm land close to my heart. My brother unfortunately ended that era of “Oreshan’s Farm Stand”. But with that said, my dad would be happy that it will continue to be an agricultural parcel and not a development. I hope you have much success in your endeavors.”

“I rented a small excavator and I couldn't be happier. We rented an identical excavator from home depot 2 days prior to trying Georges rentals, and we had a very bad experience with multiple defective excavators and with very poor customer service. Being that we still had so much work we needed to get done with our project, my friend told me about George's. The equipment delivery was prompt, the customer service was exceptional, and the rental work flawlessly. When we had questions about the rental, George was very kind and informative. And special shout out to Angelia! She made my wife and I feel special and was very professional and knowledgeable on everything we asked her. Customer service like that is so hard to come by! We will definitely be using George's rentals on future projects! Thanks again Angelia! ?”

“Overall good experience shopping for my supplies when it pertains to my heating, central air conditioning & plumbing business out of Halfmoon. This location could do a better job at supplying Power Vented Water Heaters in both 40 gallon & 50 gallon capacities. Also get better at stocking correct sized fittings for copper pipe. Other than those two issues, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and I receive a military discount which is greatly appreciated. God bless our armed forces!”

She trains her staff well and if they don't know the answer they ask April instead of other places that just brush you off. I have bought a lot of plants here. Mom and I love coming here to get plants, statues and knowledge. She even helped design a few beds.”
