Very disappointed. I wanted to order 15 or more baby chicks locally and was so excited when I came across catch-a-torri farms. I initially reached out on Facebook messenger and did receive a response. Had some questions, they got answered and then when I wanted to finalize my order the business went MIA. I then sent a few text messages and still no response. 3 days went by and I ended up placing an order online. I read some of the previous reviews and some people had great experience, some had a bad experience. I guess I got unlucky and ended up with a bad experience. Sad I wasn’t able to support local. To sum it up: company stopped responding and I ended up ordering online.

Great place to get chicks! My coworker and I stopped in for chicks, and had a wonderful time. Lots of variety, and all the ones we got were very active & healthy. You can tell the owners really care for their animals, and answered all our questions. Just a wonderful little farm! Way better than the big stores. Highly recommend!

We were referred here by a friend and after texting back and forth for a week with Jeffrey. I made arrangements to come pickup our first chicks. Jeffrey was very friendly and knowledgeable and after an hour of chatting about the breeds we picked a nice assortment and they're doing very well. Thanks again Jeffrey!!!

My heart is SO full today, and it's all thanks to Jeffery and his wonderful associates at Catch a Torii Farms. Not one but two of my farming friends recommended him to me after I put out feelers for our very first flock of egg laying chicks. My family and I were looking for a small number (8-10 total) of diverse and heritage breed chickens to officially begin our hobby farm. Despite the small number of chicks we purchased, Jeffery made me feel like the most important customer in the land from start to finish. He responded promptly and happily every time I touched base with him in the weeks leading up to the big hatch this past Wednesday. When my family and I got to his farm last evening to pick up our babies it was obvious that they (the humans) had all had an incredibly long, busy day. Despite that, they were all so incredibly friendly and patient with us, letting my nine year old niece and I hand pick our chicks while giving us loads of information about the large variety they had. They answered a thousand questions from all four of us and just made the entire experience so special to me and my family. Our babies are healthy and obviously well cared for, and the shop was warm and welcoming. I cannot say enough about this business and these people; they deserve all the business and all the good things life has to offer. Thank you so very much, we will absolutely be life long customers!

An absolutely awesome buying experience. After doing the Tractor Supply thing for many years, decided to try something different this year. I can tell you I'm glad I did. When I picked up my birds, Jeffrey was very knowledgeable and even gave me a few tips that I never knew. The birds are high quality and if there's any problem, they will make it right. Very pleased and will be doing business with them again!

I have purchased from Catch-A-Tori farms several times over the past few years. The birds have always been very hardy and healthy. You can tell that Jeffery is an expert in the field!. His knowledge is incredible and the selection far surpasses any you will find at the farm stores! Jeffery is also available to answer questions and help after the sale! He gives you his cell number and answers your texts! I highly recommend this business!

I have tried to make contact with them 4 times now. Will not attempt again. I ordered $125 worth of chicks on Jan 18th and 21st. No response when I call no text back and no emails back. I wanted to get my chicks early so they will be laying by August at the latest. Country max ended up with my business.Update someone finally emailed me back when I said I wanted to cancel my order. Regardless I will never place an order with them again and I will make sure everyone I know takes their business else where

Jeffrey is wonderful! He works very hard to fulfill all his orders and takes extra care with the baby chicks and with us customers. I just got 60 chicks and they are all healthy and happy! I recommend this hatchery 100%. Thanks Jeff!!Bonnie F.

I thought I was stuck having to order chicks thru the mail. Something I did not want to do. But 'Catch a torii farms' came across my FB feed, so I thought I would look into them. Glad I did. They are near by. Lots of choices in chicks, ones that I actually wanted. We went. Not only does Jeffery have chicks, but he also has the supplies that you will need for them. He has a lot of knowledge about the chicks he sells, but he also answered a few questions about some chicks I bought at TS. When I am ready to buy more chicks, this will be the place that I go.

Jeffrey was incredibly helpful, friendly, and informative. Pickup was quick and easy. We purchased 110 meat chickens and our order was filled promptly. All of the birds were healthy, happy and had obviously been well cared for prior to pick up. We will definitely be back next year.

If I could give a lower rating I would. tried ordering chicks from them. After Multiple calls and no call backs finally called and spoke with someone. I was told he would put my order in and call and or text and let me know a pick up date. That was 2 weeks ago and have not heard anything from anyone since. When I spoke with them we told them my husband has left you 3 messages but contact me as I am the one who is handling this. They said okay we will take his number off our contact list. Within 2 hours they were calling my husband to ask what he wanted not once but 2x in the same night. He explained look you have already spoken to my wife and you said you were going to work on our order and call her back and they oh okay someone else must have contacted you. And that was the end of that we never heard back. Look I understand if you work a fulltime day job and are doing this on the side but you need to get you office together. There is no communication obviously and the left had does not know what the right hand is doing. The over all reason we wanted to deal with them is because we did not like the idea of getting our chicks thru the mail and wanted to pick them up. Consequently we ended up ordering from Tractor Supply site for delivery of our chicks. I am disappointed that we had to do that. So if your waiting for these people to call you back good luck , if your waiting for your order to be fulfilled even better luck. Go to your local feed store and buy your chicks atleast there you know you will have an actual live person to deal with.

I ordered birds in October for December. After trying to discuss this order with the owner he ghosted my husband and I. We never got our birds.

Meh. Jeffery is very nice and has some quality products. His live poultry, however, is just average and often not true to breed. After purchasing well over 15 chicks, it was discovered that the 'Ameraucanas' are actually Easter Eggers and not true to breed. It's fine to sell an EE, but be honest about it. Legbars also show as mixed breed and nonconforming to SOP. We also received the wrong type of other breeds. There are some good products, but it seems the owner is overwhelmed when it comes to chickens and is focused on quantity, not quality. Prices for chicks are in line with standard, production hatchery chicks. If you're in the area and strict SOP is unimportant to you, it may be worth a phone call. It is fine for meat birds. For laying hens, I would suggest, however, looking at all your options before going here.
