“Their permanent collection is extensive and interesting with an emphasis on New York State history and artists. Besides paintings and sculptures, they have rooms furnished with ornate furniture, rugs, wallpaper and decorations from over 100 years ago. They're found in a section of the museum referred to as "The Mansion". They keep things interesting by organizing frequent special exhibits which include loaned works of art as well as drawing from their own collection. The gift shop is worth a look.”
