I have taken my car to NextGen Auto Care for multiple services, but after several disappointing experiences, I can no longer recommend them. Despite marketing themselves as European specialists and charging $199/hour, their work has repeatedly fallen short in honesty, competence, and fair pricing.
My concerns began with a straightforward front grille replacement. I supplied the part, and the job should have taken about an hour based on Mercedes’ standard labor time. Instead, they claimed difficulty reinstalling the bumper and charged me for three hours of labor—an unjustifiable overcharge for a routine job.
More seriously, I later brought my vehicle in for rough shifting. They performed a full transmission service but returned the car nearly three liters low on fluid. The problem persisted until I took it elsewhere, where correcting the fluid level immediately resolved the issue. Failing to properly refill a transmission is not a minor oversight; it’s a fundamental error that could have caused severe mechanical damage.
Unfortunately, this pattern extends to their recommendations and billing practices. They have repeatedly attempted to upsell unnecessary services to family members I referred, most recently claiming air filters needed replacement when both were visibly clean. Additionally, their billing lacks the efficiency of reputable shops: when multiple jobs involve the same area of the vehicle, they charge full labor for each task rather than combining overlapping work.
I do want to acknowledge that the staff has always been polite and courteous, and on a personal level my interactions were pleasant. They also provided a rental car during one visit, and I appreciated their digital vehicle health report system when it was used transparently. These factors are the reason for the second star. Unfortunately, professionalism and friendliness don’t make up for serious mechanical mistakes, overcharging, and questionable recommendations.

They refused to give me a price for a full synthetic oil change for a Toyota RAV4 over the phone. They wanted me to make an appointment to get a quote. Are you kidding me??? This tactic was used by salespeople in the 80’s and it’s still pathetic.

Every visit is a pleasure. Came back 9/25 and got help removing a wasp next from my side mirror. Love the atmosphere and text updates w transparency of work. It makes the whole process easier to review and approve. I like the pictures of my rusty brakes that need work, giving more transparency. Alice is awsome!
A full service mechanic with high quality professionals providing excellent customer service.
All the folks working there were friendly and polite. Made the wait very pleasant. I ordered 4 new tires, had my rear brakes replaced, battery replaced, nys inspection and an oil change. Feels like a new car.

Absolutely terrific experience. Tom and Aidan were exceptional. The front strap on my truck's fuel tank broke off. Video of the repair, thorough explanation of the work required and performed. Fast, reasonably priced, treated like family - we've found our service center that we can stay with. Thank you, YOU GUYS ROCK!

I will not take my car to any other place! I am always treated with kindness, fairness and respect from everyone there. My car is always taken well care of. They have given me a ride home while I waited for my car to be taken care of and have given me loaners when I needed extensive work done. Because of NexGen, I drive my high mileage car with confidence knowing they have covered all the bases to keep me on the road.

Optimal quality of service rendered to your vehicle. A trusted source for luxury or foreign vehicles. An extensive suspension job was needed to be performed and was completed by Next Gen in a thorough manner. Service Coordinator Thomas leads by example.

I would highly recommend Next Gen Car Care. Top tier service is what you’ll get here! They dropped me off at my house while the work was completed which made life a whole lot easier. What I really like is they do a complete review if your car and operating systems… they give you a report on what needs to be addressed with a key to show you whether it’s a priority or can wait! Overall they will have me coming back again 🤩

I recently brought my 2022 BMW in for a detail, oil change, and a couple of other services, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Tom was incredibly helpful and professional, making the whole process smooth and easy. My car looks and feels brand new! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch auto care.

I would recommend. Good customer service. Fair price for services. Some delays with holiday weekend and having to send a rim out for repair. But is completely understandable. Could be quicker with updates on any changes. Overall very happy with this team here. I will do business again with them. Thanks again Zach.
