This review is based on services offered and how employment is.In terms of services offered:The Bank gives fantastic customer service. There are many longtime customers and most of them are friendly, and staff are friendly.When it comes to banking services. They are severely lacking compared to competitors in the area. Basic services such as ACH transfers via Online Banking/Mobile App, ordering checks, and debit cards are not offered through the app.To order a new debit card, you have to fill out a paper application. Many customers have expressed frustration with this. It can take 10-14+ business days for the card to be delivered.Business customers are limited and are unable to make mobile deposits unless they are Sole Proprietors.Banking hours make it tough for customers who work normal 9-5 jobs to do their banking in person. More online options to open and manage their accounts would alleviate this.Cash advances are not offered.Credit cards are not offered.The bank is not partnered with Zelle.There are many technological problems with the Bill Pay service.I'd rate the bank 3/5 in regard to services and quality of services.Employment:Everything is done in an analog manner. Receipts are written by hand as well as cash in's/outs. Thus, making errors more likely.Typewriters are often used to complete paperwork and account opening processes are not as streamlined & quick as they could be.There are some slips used in processing CDs still dated in the 1900's.Employee turnover in the IT Department, Teller, and CSR positions are very high.There is no Diversity.Pay and benefits are not competitive. Raises are generally done every year at the same time for everyone and depend on bank and employee performance. Pay increases are not discussed during employee feedback.Be prepared to take on more positions than what you were hired for.Training was by far the worst I've received with any employer.The Schoharie and Richmondville Branches have fantastic employee environments.The Cobleskill Branch is very toxic - Role confusion and dysfunction, low enthusiasm and negativity, chronic and excessive stress, and pervasive office gossip.Employees were very mean to each other.I often felt discriminated against.Overall, a 2/5 employment experience. I hope that improvements will be made in the future to increase the customer and employee experience.
