Anyone know what’s going on with this place? I’ve tried to call them for two days and i just get a busy signal.

I've been taking my precious furbabies to Boght Vet for decades, thinking I was doing the best for their health. My 7 year old Saint has had skin, ear and paw issues for years... she'd lick her paws, scratch her ears and cut her gums, poor thing...or at least that's what I thought she was scratching. I'd mention this each time we visited and we visited frequently in the last year. Finally I got a referral to a dermatologist...the first thing they told me... my dog has cracked teeth and was most likely scratching her gums because she was in pain. Boght never saw this? What kind of exam were they doing... ok...so I go back to Boght and we have 3 extractions... 2 lower molars and 1 upper canine. A week after her surgery, I end up in the hospital for emergency surgery...she never gets to her post op appt. And she's bleeding from the fistula that was created removing the canine tooth. After a little over a week I'm released, I call for a post op check telling them, she's been bleeding for over a week...they see her that same day...and prescribe antibiotics...saying we'll have to wait and see if she heals, if she doesn't we cant do anything but refer you...2 days later still bleeding... I call to see if they can give me a referral so I can get her looked at by a dental vet. They say bring her in, I do, well the Dr who performed the surgery isn't here. She's not actively bleeding at this time. We'll do some blood work. I lost it, sitting in my car and started yelling at the Dr and tech... They finally gave me some clotting medication and a referral to Upstate Veterinary Specialties. Well..come to find out, they don't do dental either. I've since found a Veterinary practice in the area that does do dental...and oh my goodness, what an experience my first visit was. Quite different from the treatment we've been receiving at Boght, even putting a calming bandana on her because she seemed a bit nervous. Totally professional, actually discussing her problems and doing the exam and treatment right there in front of me, not taking her into the back. I will be taking both my Saints to the new practice, I'm so thankful I found them. I would like to apologize to the Dr and techs I yelled at during my final visit to Boght, that just isn't the way I do things. But I was at my wits end. So. My apologies. I will never take any of my precious pets to Boght again.

My family has been going here since the 90s. Boght has really earned the rating and the reviews mentioned. My biggest issue is they still require masks. That's simply unacceptable Also, impossible to get through on the phone.

If you love your pet like you do your child I highly suggest switching vet’s immediately. This one has no care about you or your beloved pet. they use to be amazing not sure what happened but they are careless now

Boght is amazing. All these reviews with people whining and saying the line is busy, no appointments, the staff is mean, etc is insane! They have a detailed message saying how busy they are and how overwhelmed the vet business as a whole is. All the younger people at the counter are extremely nice and have always gone out of there way to help me. The phone is busy a lot so I just keep trying. I don't cry about it. The younger people at the counter are dealing with rude, insulting, demanding customers who think they should get whatever they want whenever they want it. Not the case!! Cut the front end some slack! Just because they won't put up with your nastiness you leave them a bad review??? I'd recommend Boght over and over to anyone who wants affordable, compassionate, knowledgeable care for their pet. All they ask is that you treat the entire staff with respect!

I have been taking my pets here for over 8 years. I always have a great experience and really appreciate the care they take with my 8 year old cat and 1 year old pup. The staff is attentive and always so wonderful to us. There have been emergency situations where they have found and made time to see us when they were already overbooked. I really can't say enough good things about Bought.

Very unprofessional! Management is very rude and told me go somewhere else if I don't like it even though they were the ones that made a mistake. This place used to be great but not anymore. You have to call 10,000 times just to get thru the phone line. Their own staff even says how unprofessional management is. Truly unfortunate.

I've always been happy with the care our pets received from Boght. That changed today when I tried to get our new puppy in to see one of the doctors. I was told that they are booking into September! No way to get an appointment for an exam before this date. The gentleman I spoke with was very unhelpful and when I asked if I could speak with someone about my concerns, he simply said no one is here for me to speak with. He also said he gets the same 'spiel' 10 to 15 times a day. I said that he seemed to be pretty checked out of our conversation and he replied 'yeah'. I was actually told to do a Google review but that they probably weren't read. I'm hoping that when I call back (as I plan to do next week), I will get someone else that might have some interest in the continued good care of animals.

I have been going here for 13 years and I will NOT be returning. They gave me the wrong info and then wouldn't do anything to try to fix the issue. Left me with no one to board my dog the day before we were leaving.

My otherwise healthy family cat went in to be checked for fleas and left this clinic only to die that night. I'm incredibly disturbed by the actions and responses from this clinic. Dobby, a healthy cat, was brought into Boght to be checked for fleas. Once he got there, he had what appeared to be a panic or asthma attack - something he never had a problem with at home. The Dr. put Dobby on oxygen, saying it could be congenital heart failure or cancer. Ultimately, they decided it was an asthma attack and they released Dobby to come home, but he was groggy, drooling, and not breathing well. He died after just about an hour at home. When I spoke to this office, they were not only unapologetic, the doctor said "We saved the cat's life." This was a cat who came in for fleas and left unable to breathe. His health was never in question until he got to the vet's office. No remorse, no explanation, no effort to do anything but defend themselves.

The staff did an amazing job today. I was able to go inside and talk with the tech. As always, they did a wonderful job. Very kind, compassionate and professional.

I would not recommend Veterinarian Kimberly Ellis to ANYONE that loves and cares for their animals. She is extremely rude and extremely unprofessional. I have never left Boght vet feeling so upset and defeated than the two times she was the one to see my dogs.

I have nothing but great things to say about Boght and their AMAZING staff. They took on such a big task in such a short amount of time and honestly made me feel so welcome. They explained every step they made, to put my mind at ease. This clinic goes above and BEYOND for their patients. I can not thank them enough for saving my pup!
