I just moved to Cohoes from downstate. Man, do I miss the Shoprite that was an 8 minute walk from my house! Now I have to literally get on the bus for 10 minutes to shop at a place that is a quarter of the size of my former supermarket, and has a quarter of the selection. No more Sabre hummus or guac, Wholesome Pantry Organic Steel Cut Oats, my favorite flavor of Triscuits, or my favorite vegan cookies! They have ZERO non-dairy (vegan) ice cream! (My favorite was So Delicious Caramel Cluster, but I also enjoyed a couple of non-dairy Ben and Jerry's flavors). Worse, their frozen veggies section is woefully lacking, as is their produce section..and forget any vegan "specialty" items like Dr. Praeger's veggie burgers, Amy's vegan margarita pizza, or Gardein orange marmalade "chicken" tenders. (I DID find my favorite vegan sausage from Field Roast, but that was $1.50 more than my former supermarket!!!) Their selection is SO minimal as to be a joke! In fact, the whole store has very little selection, overall. It's as if it was created to give you the bare minimum of choices and yet be "serviceable" enough to call itself a supermarket. Trust me, there's nothing "super" about it! And the prices??? Simply atrocious! DON'T expect to save anything here, EVEN with your "Advantage" card! I also attempted to buy a razor and it was locked up! That was NEVER the case in my former supermarket! All that said, the staff are friendly, and that's the only good thing I have to say about it. If you need something in a pinch, this store will do. In fact, it's really a glorified convenience store with prices to match.. but if you want a REAL supermarket experience, don't come here.

I visited the Price Chopper in Cohoes and was amazed at the cleanliness of the store and the ease of shopping there . Got everything I needed in one trip and no hassle like the larger Market 32. Friendly atmosphere and easy access . Will shop there more often.

Remember, way back when you didn't need to get on the highway to get groceries? When you could literally "run out" to the store? This is that kind of place. Yes, it may not have 45 types of hot sauce, but it does have everything you could ever need, friendly staff and quick service. Real people need a real grocery store in real neighborhoods. This store fits the bill. I don't see people complaining about the tiny newer price chopper on railroad street in Saratoga. The Cohoes store is important to its community. Kudos to a real neighborhood grocery store.

I normally shop at the much larger Price Choppers/ Market 32's. However, I happened to be in the area and went to this one in Cohoes. Although it is an extremely small store with limited selection, I have never been treated better in a grocery store. Literally every employee I came across was friendly and asked if I needed assistance. I will go back when I'm in the area.

The employees here are very rude. They certainly do not go out of their way to say hi. I usually am not the type to say customers pay your salaries but it fits here. Continue to be rude and we will go elsewhere. I get it's a mini chopper and the selection is scarce. But the employees don't need to be rude. And I say employees by that I mean cashiers. The others are fine.
