The worst… he was supposed to fix our edger for FREE as he was contracted by southland company and our edger was under warranty. We waited for weeks and he couldn’t find the issue. Then he tried to charge us for something he “did” but it wasn’t part of our warranty that we never even agreed to. Even tho I’m pretty sure he did bunch of NOTHING!! Also just couldn’t verify if it was fixed or not… THEN he tried to hold our edger hostage and tell us how he’s not giving it back!!! Needless to say we were planning on calling cops for robbery and then he finally just left it outside for us to pick it up

I took a lawn mower there and took it out of the truck. Before he even touched or looked at the mower he said it needed a carb, air filter, gas filter and spark plugs. Then he tells me he gets $80.00 per hour on top of that.. I had two lawn mowers and a weed Wacker that needed fixing. When he told me $80.00 per hour I naturally loaded my mower and left. When I got home I started taking the lawn mower apart. In about twenty minutes I found the problem. The drive belt slipped off and I stretched in back on and put it back together.. Maybe thirty minutes total..my second mower would start but wouldn't stay running. With a little effort I took the cup off the carb and drained the water and it runs perfect with no parts .. my torro weed Wacker would not start at all. I bought a rebuild kit on line for less than $14.00 and I replaced everything in less than thirty minutes. Please don't think you can't do simple repairs.. Give it a try and you will save hundreds and hundreds of dollars.. You don't have to pay $80.00 per hour and buy tons of parts you don't need. One thing people don't look for is little cracks in the primer bulb , if you have cracks it will suck air instead of gas and won't run..Please please try for yourself you will be surprised at how much you will save!!!!

Very unprofessional!! Did work that wasn’t asked for and tried to charge me! I simply wanted warranty work done through Home Depot and an oil and filter change.Put unwanted parts on and adjusted the deck without any approval from myself! I am filing a complaint with Home Depot about the lack of professionalism this shop has! I normally don’t do reviews but this was outrageous.

purchased new drive cable and belt for DR Mower approx. June 2019 and took the unit to authorized service at Martins Performance in Collins, NY on July 15. I asked for belt and cable install ONLY. 4 weeks later he tells me the bill is $ 600 b-c a lot of extra work was needed. I asked WHY DIDNT YOU CALL ME but he said he was busy and just finished it. Moreover, he tells me I now have no REVERSE(which was fine) and that will be another $4-500 to replace trans. I told him I could buy A NEW ONE for that!!! FUMING, I took the unit home only to find he the PTO did not work due to loose blade B-C he had cross threaded the nut so badly I had to hacksaw it off(that was fun) b-c was only 1/2 way threaded. What a totally unprofessional HACK! The hours I wasted and the machine is still not working! Thought you should know how horribly BRUTALLY bad businessman and worse mechanic. Have since read many other posts similar....shoulda checked first b4 ever getting near this joint.
