I normally HATE dealing with CVS, but this location inside Target @ 1440 Central Ave., Colonie NY is the exception to the rule. Rebecca, the pharmacist, is VERY helpful and truly cares about her customers. I started using this location after having EXTREME difficulty filling a few of my control substance medications. Rebecca was easy to speak with and ensured that she would be able to get my medication, and moving forward the meds would be available, and available they were. Fast forward a year, and I found myself calling multiple CVS’s trying to get my meds refilled. I was visiting family on Long Island and needed my meds. The closest CVS pharmacist hung up on me after refusing to let me know if they’d be able to fill my scripts, all because they hadn’t received the scripts yet. I was trying to find a CVS that had the meds in stock and would be able to fill the scripts before my MD sent the scripts. He had already sent the scripts to one store, but they called me and said they didn’t have the meds in stock and wasn’t sure when they would be received. Because the meds are controlled substances I didn’t want to scripts sent to multiple pharmacies because I did t want it to look like I was pharmacy fishing and the other problem is, for every pharmacy the scripts were sent to, if they couldn’t fill the scripts, one would have to call the pharmacy to cancel the send before they could be sent to another pharmacy. I was also trying to save myself from having to drive all over the place, just to potentially find out the meds weren’t available and unknown when they would be. I ended up driving 3.5hrs to go back to Rebecca’s store in Colonie, NY to get my medication refilled and then drove 3.5hrs back to my family’s house for the remainder of the month. At least I knew it wouldn’t be a waste of time as I called Rebecca, the pharmacist, and she was glad to let me know that the meds were available and she could fill the scripts as soon as she received them. Thank you Rebecca and the CVS in Target @ 1440 Central Ave., Colonie NY!

I have been going to the cvs location in target on central ave for many years. Becky Kirchner is the head pharmacist and has taken such good care of my family and pet’s medications. She is always willing to listen, check interactions with my medications, fills prescription’s quickly and always has a smile when she greets you. The staff are always helpful and It’s always clean. The location and hours are so convenient. I feel very good having Becky as my pharmacist.

I was standing in line once at this specific location listening to the woman behind me whining about how long the line is. There were two people in front of me and one of them was at that the counter. It's hard for me to find things to say about the people that work to keep me medicated which in turn keeps me alive. This pharmacy is extremely efficient, informative, courteous and most importantly accurate. I'd rather wait in line for 10 hours if I had to here than deal with the disastrous and nearly deadly mistakes of the previous pharmacy I was using.

EDIT: 1 Star: CVS IS TERRIBLE AND THEY TOOK OVER TARGET PHARMACY.
5 Star (before CVS took it over):
When I got my pills here, I absolutely loved the pharmacists. The head Pharmacist was awesome, cute, and always remembered my name to have my pills ready. She always tried to give me the best discounts, worked with my coupons, and was just overall a great person.
Only thing is, the texting system is really bad and you get no information about what you have to pick up - but I imagine that's a Target Corporate issue anyway.
