The transmission in my 2021 Forrester began to shift with a jerk out of 1st gear when cold. Once warmed up it was fine. Pointed this out to my service advisor when and an appointment was made for me to drop the car off late in the afternoon and I was provided with a loaner car. The next morning I received a phone call advising me that the transmission had a defect and that it would be ordered and replaced. I was to keep the loaner until the repair was completed. The replacement was completed in one week much to my surprise. I picked up my car and drove away a happy camper. Everything was done in a professional manner. My congratulations and thanks to all in the organization.I would highly recommend Goldstein Subaru!

I dropped off my vehicle on Thursday 11/16 for service. I was told it would be done by the end of the day, but it wasn't, which is fine. I was told it'd be ready the next day, Friday 11/17 which was no problem. I drive a Crosstrek hybrid and they don't have hybrid loaners. I asked if we could have one of the EV loaners, the solterra EVs, and we were told that they were both reserved for other customers with appointments that day. Anyway, the gasoline-only loaner car was given to us very dirty with preexisting windshield damage, and only about 4 or 5 gallons of gas. We were previously told that the Solterra EV loaners were both reserved but they were sitting there in the same spot both days I was at the dealership. Loaner was brought back with as much gas as was initially provided. Receipt was kept. I asked if they could recharge my Crosstrek plug in hybrid before I picked it back up.I was told the dealership was too busy to plug my car in for a couple hours to recharge before pickup which is disappointing, especially after being told solterra loaners weren't available. The Crosstrek plug in charges fully within 2 hours also, so I don't understand why they didn't plug it in. Also, there is no hybrid loaner car option which isn't very good for hybrid owners that purchased hybrids from Goldstein Subaru. I got my car back Friday, and the hood popped open on central Avenue going about 45 mph, I pulled over and immediately closed it. When I left the lot the hood light wasn't on, but once I started going faster the not-completely-closed hood popped open and triggered the hood light. I believe the staff didn't close the hood all the way. That could've been a serious safety concern if I was on the highway when that happened - and I was just about to get onto the on ramp for the highway! I had a gold detailing service to redeem - everything was cleaned up ok, but I noticed that the center console was not vacuumed out. I also previously Inquired about having my hybrid battery tested, a diagnostic, but never heard back. I asked several days and also a week before my appointment too. Back before they changed and restructured everything and upgraded the dealership, customer service was the best of any Subaru dealer around! Now, the dealership is truly terrible and I would not recommend them at all. I've bought 4 brand new Subarus from them; and I'm thinking my 4th one will be my last! Beware of this dealership. Quality service is no longer the mantra of Goldstein Subaru.

Great service and always very polite! Bring back the popcorn please! I love relaxing with a bag of popcorn while waiting for my car! Happy Thanksgiving! Also think about having your own Subaru towing service!

Sandy had a vet flat affect. Went in person to discuss possible recall. Did not have her full attention as she was dabbling on her cell phone. I feel she did not listen, rather waited for her turn to talk. Automated response - no conversation with the actual technicians who may have been able to have a better conversation regarding my auto repair / replacement of a part that had been updated due to problems

Service was perfect. Called on Monday, got an appointment Wednesday morning. Since they had to keep the car for a while, gave me a free loaner. Service was completed by 3:00 PM. All staff members were friendly and efficient. AND, it was covered by warranty ?

Needed help quickly. Check engine light was on. No appointment. Tim from Service was on top of it, got our car into the queue and we got it back same day, no charge (warranty)….easy breezy!Goldstein has no peer in my mind and we’ll continue to give them our business.

This place sucks. Every service takes no less than 2 hours and they give you the incentive to purchase a protection plan that doesn't even cover anything when it actually comes down to it. If you want to make an appointment for a service you'll get something no sooner than 2 months away

My favorite Subaru dealership!I actually live closer to a difference Subaru dealership but drive out of my way to this dealership because they have an amazing crew and offer phenomenal service.The speed and efficiency with which they handle regular maintenance for my new car are truly commendable. The staff takes the time to explain the entire process, ensuring I have a clear understanding of the service being provided. This level of transparency and courtesy has earned my trust and loyalty.If you’re looking for a dealership that combines excellent service with respect for all customers, I highly recommend giving this Subaru dealership a visit. They have consistently gone above and beyond to make me feel valued and well-informed, which is why I continue to go out of my way to choose their services.

I have only ever had good experiences bringing my car in for work. Just brought it to have oil change and wheel alignment done, went on a three hour drive after leaving and its road like a dream down Taconic. Gripping the roads really nicely and it's definitely ready for the winter storms to come. Very happy with my service here. Tim T. Was my service advisor and helped me also get a heat shield rattle fixed which was driving me crazy, relatively inexpensive as well. Very pleased, thanks again Goldstein Subaru. Whatever your doing, keep it up. This will be the first place I come back to when looking for a more modern Subaru in the future.?

Terrible customer service. If you want to be informed and kept updated on what is going on with your vehicle then don’t go here. I had to chase my service advisor, Lori, to find out what is up with my vehicle. My car has been there for 2 weeks and Lori NEVER called once. Twelve days later I received the multipoint inspection and an estimate via text message (that had been done 9 days earlier). When questioned why she never kept me updated she responded “this is out of character for me”. Yeah……right. Prior to coming to Goldstein I was collecting my service records and called and emailed Lori numerous times to make sure I had all the services documented. She never called me back or emailed me with the information I needed. “Out of character for her”….no way.When you call the service department no one picks up and they constantly transfer you back and forth. I ended up speaking to one of the managers, Joe Bombard, who was wonderful and took my concerns seriously. They honored the limited power train warranty and I was considering buying a new car there, but not sure if I want to now.All I asked was to be kept in the loop about my car, but I had to call and chase them for answers. If you want a dealership with great customer service then don’t come here. Let’s hope the mechanics are better at their job than the service staff.

My husband brought my car in for an express service and all went well as usual. However when he brought the bill home I noticed my birthday gift card ($15) had not been applied. I called Goldstein and spoke to the cashier who remembered my husband and quickly and kindly made the adjustment on the bill since this had been sn oversight. . Working with Goldstein is always so pleasant, easy and accommodating! Thank you!

I had heard good things about Goldstein Subaru and they definitely lived up to their great reputation. Joe Khattar has integrity and communicates clearly without losing you in car terminology. All the rest of the staff made me feel welcome there (not a burden) and performed their jobs at the highest level, going above and beyond to make sure you don't get overlooked. I would recommend Goldstein Subaru to anyone!
