I have used Apple Bank since I was 15 years old. The Bank is family owned so it is a private Bank. This particular branch is a architectural designed bank and it's furniture is classic simple. The service is excellent and their banking financial products are competitive. When giving a review you do not become cantankerous over a banks wooden furniture nor do you assume because money orders are no longer issued "you wouldn't be surprised it the bank closed". You do your homework and would see the Apple Bank locations and their high rating. The Commack Apple Bank strives to be be their best and they are very friendly. Willing to assist you with your banking needs and take the time to accommodate their customers. 10 STAR FOR APPLE BANK & O STAR for the Cantankerous negative review from a "bold thing"!

This bank allowed a friend of a bank employee to come in and drain $$$$$ from an account without knowledge or permission of the account owner. Nothing was ever done about this and it's continued to be a source of ongoing financial hardship.

Second Apple Bank I have visited today to get a 9 month CD. First one I walked out of because of the way they treated me. This one was slightly better. First thing I notice are the desks customer service are sitting at---old and very beat up looking. After going through all the paper work I am advised that the huge signs all over announcing 9 month CD rates are really not quite accurate. The APY is 2.15% and my CD is only 9 months it will be 2.13%. Tacky and underhanded.

Apple bank is a vestige of the old community banks: the ones that open and close at hours that no other businesses could survive. However, Apple bank goes one step further and renders the simplest banking transactions so frustrating that decide to bank elsewhere, which is exactly what I have done.
