I stumbled upon Cardboard Memories while bidding on one of his pieces on EBay and was pleasantly surprised when I received a personal message from the owner Scott Stimel inviting me to come in. I was so impressed by his confidence and honesty in his message that I grabbed my son the following day and headed over to his store. From the minute we walked in, we were immediately welcomed and greeted by Scott. I couldn’t believe the amount of memorabilia and unique items encompassing the space! I have never seen anything like this in my life and my son and I were HOOKED!!Cardboard Memories is an absolute treasure trove for any memorabilia enthusiast! As a long-time collector, I can confidently say that this store exceeded all my expectations.First and foremost, the selection here is unparalleled. From sports memorabilia to movie and music collectibles, they have it all. Whether you're a fan of basketball, football, baseball, or hockey, you'll find a wide range of autographed jerseys, balls, helmets, and trading cards from some of the biggest names in the industry. The store also boasts an impressive assortment of signed posters, photographs, and guitars from beloved musicians and actors. To be honest, the store and artifacts were amazing, but it was Scott and Karen that sold me! I felt as if I knew them for years and they were so friendly, knowledgeable and caring! Scott and I spoke for hours and his passion was unexplainable and he made us feel like we were visiting a museum with our own tour guide. He really cares about his craft, but must of all, making people smile while educating them at the same time. My son adored him and didn’t want to leave. We ended up buying five beautiful pieces and ordered a few more to be framed which they also do in house!Oh, and then there is Karen!!!! Karen and Scott act like siblings which makes them a fantastic duo!! They are hysterical but professional. Karen treated us like we were her own family as she personally wrapped our pieces in bubble wrap. They gave my son a free case for his autographed helmet that we did not even purchase there and ordered him a plaque for it without even mentioning anything. They really care about their customers even if you just visit.Scott has an amazing personality and loves bringing smiles to anyone who stops by his sports museum. Everyone needs to make a buck but that is not as important to him as keeping this industry, history and legacy going. What truly sets Cardboard Memories apart is the authenticity and quality of their memorabilia. Each item is meticulously verified for authenticity, giving buyers peace of mind that they are purchasing genuine and valuable collectibles. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to assist you in finding that perfect piece for your collection. They are passionate about what they do and it shows. The store's layout is well-organized and makes browsing a breeze. It's not just a shop; it's an experience. The ambiance is filled with nostalgia, and you can easily lose track of time exploring the vast array of items on display. Moreover, their prices are fair and competitive, considering the rarity and uniqueness of the merchandise.Needless to say, we were back in less than a week only to be greeted by the dynamic duo, Scott and Karen. They couldn’t wait to show us their new items and we couldn’t wait to hear all about the history! Karen framed some pieces right on site with beautiful high end frames with real glass. Of course we bought another two unique pieces and cannot wait to go back to pick up our other orders!!!Please take the time to visit Cardboard Memories so you too can meet and learn from a true historian!Brian & Jack W. Amazing place. Scott stayed after hours just to sit and help me go through a ton of things and teach me a lot about the items and collectibles I have. Highly, highly recommend and can't say enough good things. Scott went out of his way and then some to help and truly showed how much he cares about what he does.

My wife and I took our 2 grandkids (ages 12 and 9) to see if the store was still open at 6:20 on a Saturday evening. Sign said it closed at 6:00 but the owner Scott was still in there cleaning up and getting ready to go home. He politely said take your time and look around. We spent 45 minutes in the store. He spoke to our grandkids and shared so many wonderful stories with them. He was so kind and caring to my wife and I, but more importantly with our grandkids. He never rushed us out of the store. We bought each child a few pack of cards, which he discounted and then on his own gave both kids 2 very nice cards for free too. the kids enjoyed every minute! Scott treated us all fantastically and we will be regular customers whenever we visit our children. He has the best items I have ever seen, felt like a trip to Cooperstown but with all sports!! I highly recommend the store and enjoy the history lesson from Scott at the same time.

Scott did a great job on getting two custom jerseys framed up for my den. He was very helpful in also obtaining a jersey using his network of other collectors. Professional and reasonable on price with a lot of experience. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again Scott and the team at cardboard memories

I have known Scott Stimell for over 20 years and consider him one of the very top professionals in the hobby. This assessment is based upon his expert knowledge in a number of crucial facets of sport memorabilia collecting (history and scarcity of artifacts, current value of items in the hobby, trends in the industry, ability to locate collectibles from his large contact network, etc). He has helped me build my collection over the course of 2-decades. I can always turn to him for advise about a number of issues in the hobby and he is willing to provide his time and talent to answer my questions and/or concerns. His passion for his craft and his integrity in dealing with his customers are A++; rare qualities that are unmatched among his peers in the hobby. Whether your budget is large or small, Scott will provide you with his expertise to meet your needs.

Scott and his staff at Cardboard Memories are the best! I recommend them for everything! I've known Scott for many years- he was a huge help for an annual fundraiser that I ran for Lou Gehrig's disease. He was always donating and offering pieces to help our Silent and Live auction. He attended the event yearly and played a large role in helping raise funds for ALS. Scott is a genuinely good person. Most recently, this past Spring, I went to Scott with a piece for my Uncle that was damaged during Hurricane Sandy. He recently inherited it from a family member and he wanted to fix it before he moved. I brought it to Scott to do the job. Scott restored the damaged frame + autographed Islanders memorabilia, and made it look 100x's better. My uncle was SO happy with the outcome of it, you would never be able to tell that this piece was in a flood from Hurricane Sandy. Scott even included an Islander color matte on the back of the frame as a bonus. Run, don't walk to Cardboard Memories for all of your Sports Memorabilia needs.

The owner Scott, I have known for 25+ years. He is honest and always has beautiful sports pieces that are all authentically rated to the highest degree. I have bought a lot of memorabilia from him over my years of collecting and it's all top of the line. The framing he has done for me is exceptional, it's all done with much precision and perfection. He just recently completed a custom piece for my son and it came out absolutely perfect!

I purchased a 1986 NY Mets World Series signed seatback and was a bit apprehensive sending a lot of $ to Scott without ever meeting or seeing the item in person. But the reviews were great and Scotts communication was even better. He even had someone deliver in person to me the next day and personally followed up with me to see how I liked it. You can tell he LOVES what he does and wants to create customers for life. I will definitely be looking at him 1st for my future Mets and Jets needs!

I have been a sports memorabilia collector for the past 20 years and I have never experienced a display of memorabilia quiet like this one. The quantity, quality and variety at Cardboard Memories is second to none and very impressive. The owner Scott and his assistant Caryn are professional, knowledgeable and well versed in all areas of the sports collectables industry. Scott is very enthusiastic and takes alot of pride in making it a good experience exploring his collection in order for you to find the perfect piece for your collection. I have done alot of business with Scott over the short time of knowing him and find him to be both honest and fair when it comes to satisfying a customer. The memorabilia industry has changed drastically since I began collecting, however to find a store with such a great reputation of selling authentic merchandise is very comforting. Thank you to Scott and his team at Cardboard Memories for sharing your wonderful store with me.
