I always go to this liquor store when I am shop at Trader Joe's. 11/13/20 I purchased a half way decent boxed white wine. Nobody claims these are the best wines, but since covid...it's been acceptable. Keeps me from going out too much. I purchase the same wine from a little place close to me as well. I taste the wine after it chills thoroughly and right away I know something is not right. The wine tasted sour. So I look and see that the wine was boxed 11/2019. A year ago. I do not know how long boxed wine can sit, but the taste suggests not too long. I went in this evening 11/14/20 to see if I could exchange it, I am thinking the wine is old...the guy behind the counter at the time said "no one else complained, they all came in at the same time". and "we don't do that" meaning, refund bad wine. I have purchased this wine before from my local guy. I know it's not the best stuff that I reserve for special occasions, but it's not bad to have a glass or 2 cold. I leave, with the wine. Stop at my local guy. I figured I'd buy the same wine, in a bottle. I see the box and look at the date (with reading glasses) ...9/2020. I bought it...its nice and crisp...not even slightly sour. Moral? Check dates on boxed wine. Advice? Stay away from this store. They clearly don't rotate stock and they could care less if they sell you garbage that could possibly get you sick if you actually think it's you and not the wine. I would give them 0 stars because they could care less about loosing customers.

I asked for a plastic bag for my liquor and the owner started screaming at me about the cost of his bags. I asked him to please stop yelling and he cursed at me. He and his wife are always rude as could be. Never a hello, a thank you or a goodbye. I will never give him my business again. A mean, miserable person

I went into the store today and asked the owner if I can have a plastic bag. He started screaming at me about how much money plastic bags cost him. I respectfully asked him to please stop yelling. He proceeded to curse at me. He and his wife never say hello, thank you or goodbye. They are mean, miserable people. I will never go back there again

Sold us a bottle with a broken seal. Once we realized and took it back they refused to refund or exchange. Really unheard of and we will never be going there again. Untrustworthy quality. Check the seals carefully before you leave!

The best part about Jai's is it's 4 doors away from Trader Joe's in Commack. Other than that, it is very basic and the owners are very rude and unfriendly. Very disappointing when you need wine guidance and they are very unwilling to help. Just okay on the wine selection and prices are more than my local wine stores in Huntington but less than NYC.

The owner is as mean as mean can be. Have a question in the store? Grumbles and points, If you call with a question he'll give you a quick answer and hang up on you before you can get another question in. And if you try calling back, he wont pick up! Speaks terrible english. Thought I got someone from a third world country when I called. Take your money elsewhere.

I work next door to this liquor store and let me tell you... they are a nightmare!!!! Do not give them business if you can avoid it. My co worker is 22 and she went in there to buy alc from him and she gave him her ID and he saw her old permit in her hand because she went thru her wallet and he grabbed it out of her hand without asking thinking she was giving him her fake. As well, the men who were unloading his shipment truck (he does not pay them the truck driver does, but they're still working for his shop at this moment) harassed me through my front store window blowing kisses at me and talking to me while I'm working. I went to him to tell him and he did not care "because they do not directly work for his shop there just unloading shipment" ans laughed continuously when I said I felt uncomfortable. so I called the police and he got mad... he does not care about young women being harassed in their work place.
