I have used Liberty Moving and Storage for both commercial and residential services and always received the best attention and pricing and special consideration for all of my needs. The crews they sent were professional, courteous and attentive to all of my requests. Liberty Moving and Storage is clearly a superior organization.

This move went so smooth and exceeded our expectations. The crew was professional and very efficient. The communication was outstanding. They arrived on time and packed and unpacked our belongings without a hitch. Would highly recommend this moving company and crew. Made our move stress free thank you.

We had a negative moving experience with Liberty moving. The movers themselves were satisfactory, they showed up when they said they would and did a good job. The issue was with the sales rep who underestimated the amount of items we had by a long shot. Certain things that we told him to include were not on the final list. In two visits to the house we were assured if we needed to add some things day of or the day before it would not be an issue. This was not the case, anything that wasn’t on the itemized list would not be included and the truck that was sent was not large enough to
take one item more. The day before the move the rep told us he would be out of town and handed us off to someone else who had no knowledge of the move at all. We ended up having to rent a truck and move part of the home ourselves. This was exactly what we didn’t want to do with three little kids was have to move part of the house ourselves. We expressed our dissatisfaction with the move and were told let it be known in our review, there was no effort to correct the issue at all. We even gave them an opportunity to correct the issue by waiving an add on cost but “management” decided the $250 was more important then trying to make things right. Will not be recommending them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This company employs deceptive practices resulting in several unexpected fees and expenses. We contacted Liberty and requested a full-pack move. We explicitly requested and discussed this during their consultation. We were therefore under the impression that the contract was for a full-pack move.
On the day of the move, the movers indicated that they had not been booked for a full-pack move and did not have the necessary materials for this. It turns out that Liberty had actually sent us a contract for a self-pack move, and they now demanded an additional thousands of dollars to perform a full-pack move. Keep in mind this is days before we are supposed to move out, such that there was not enough time to arrange a full-pack move with another company.
Now, technically this might be on us, as the contract did in fact indicate (in fine print) that this was for a self-pack move. However, we had explicitly requested and discussed a full-pack move, without any indication from the consultant that this was not what the contract that had been sent was for. Furthermore, we chose Liberty specifically because they offered a better rate than the other quotes we received for a full-pack move.
After extensive negotiation, during which the representative from Liberty was extremely rude and unprofessional, they eventually agreed to perform a full-pack move at the original cost, but this literally occurred on the day that we moved out.
Liberty then attempted to charge us hundreds of dollars for a parking pass at the destination, which we subsequently learned could be obtained for free from the city. The delivery also did not involve unpacking, and we were expected to deal with the boxes on our own.
I would absolutely not recommend employing Liberty for your move. If you do, make sure that you review every detail of the contract carefully, and anticipate every possible expense to make sure that it is explicitly covered in the contract. If you would like to have a less stressful experience with a professional company that you can trust, choose someone else.

We all know moving is extremely stressful, Liberty and there team were on point. There team was awesome. On time, respectful, and worked hard all day. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company. Terrific Company !!!!

Our move from Long Island, NY to NH went so smoothly and Movers Celso, Mauricio and Donnie were just fantastic. They worked so hard and were exceptionally efficient both packing and unpacking. They were so easy-going and a pleasure to communicate with, comically at times. It’s already been a month since our move and the positive experience is still being spoken of. Coincidentally, not 1 item, in 165 packed boxes was broken. Kudos to Liberty Moving & Storage and especially the wonderful trio you sent to us.

Our recent moving experience with Liberty Moving and Storage was quick, professional, and painless. Gary Ferrero and his team made what is usually a stressful experience, quite easy for us. Everything arrived is excellent condition, and the movers were very helpful when dropping off our things. Highly recommend.

My husband & I couldn't be happier with the services we received from Liberty Moving & United Vanlines. Gary Ferrero our Moving coordinator from Liberty was fantastic. He came to our home a couple of times to go through the entire process, answered every phone call and by the end of the process we consider him a friend and would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to make a move. Shannon from Liberty was great, keeping us in the loop throughout the entire process through emails, phone calls etc. David and his crew from United Vanlines were meticulous in the care they took with our furniture and made sure all items packed were documented and all items were received at our new locations. And I would also like to thank Lisa P. from Liberty for recommending her company to me. I'm glad I chose Liberty over several other moving companies I spoke with. I thought that moving and entire house load of stuff gathered over 28 years would be stressful, but Liberty made it a very seamless and stress-free process. Thanks again!

Moving is stressful, Liberty staff makes it even more stressful!
In November, my husband and I moved from a large home in NJ to a LI apartment and a storage unit. We did a video call and received a very competitive quote. They said it would take 1 day to do the entire move and the rate they quoted us was fixed for the entire move, so we went with them. When they showed up, they only had 2 men and a small truck. They had to send another. The men got to NJ very early in the morning and worked until close to midnight. We gave the moving team, who were not given any of the correct information on the job, a large tip as this was a sales team error and they had a great attitude the entire day.
Fast forward to July, we just moved from the apartment & storage unit to a home. We reached out to the same saleswomen, used the same exact quote as last time (which was fixed), and just removed a few items. We vetted the list quite a few times to get to the specific quote. During our home buying process we budgeted for that specific quote + a tip for the crew.
The day of the move, the crew they sent did not know about the storage unit stop (even though liberty moved us into the storage unit & it was on the quote) and apparently were told they would be done by mid day. Again, this was the same move as last time, just a 10 minute drive between places. The crew notified my husband that they would be stopping after the apartment and not going to the storage unit. My husband then received a call from the saleswomen who told him this move was hourly and not fixed (even though both of our quotes look exactly the same), and it would be 2X-2.5X the amount she originally quoted us. Besides doing this, she started talking down & yelling at my husband. My husband requested to speak to her manager who proceeded to speak to us like we were children, talking down to us and generally not communicating in a professional manner at all. It was shocking, not only how they spoke to us as human beings, but as returning customers.
They then proceeded (around 12pm) to tell us that the movers could not keep going unless we put a credit card down immediately (even though we were paying cash and they did not ask this previously for the work they already did). They charged our credit card just shy of $1,800. They explained that when they received the cash, they would reverse the deposit on our credit card. We had to follow up 3x for this to happen or even communicate where the money was.
Later in the move day, the sales team contacted the movers to tell them to continue with the job. We heard the sales team on the phone talking poorly and complaining about my husband and I, who were rightfully upset by the entire situation.
Since the team backed us into a corner, in the end we had to pay 2x the price. Luckily we were able to pay this but if we did not have the means, what would happen?
This review is very specifically a reflection on the sales team, not the movers who were very graceful and had a positive attitude all day. Not only did the sales team let down my family, they did the same to their own movers. To add to this, my parents had a very poor and unprofessional experience with Liberty as well recently. They left a review and now they are being contacted by the sales team to remove their review to raise Liberty’s rating.
We would give a 0 star review if we were able to. Completely unprofessional with very poor communication and customer service skills. Would NEVER recommend Liberty to anyone.

I DIDNT USE LIBERTY TO MOVE. I work for a 5 star moving company (banning moving).
We just did a storage out job where liberty put the customers things into storage for them. A move from Connecticut to New Jersey.
Coming from another mover this means a lot, but these guys did a great job. Everything was packed and labeled all hardware was where it needed to be and nothing was broken. The storage units were packed great. If this was my move I would have tipped those guys $200 a man all day.
Good job liberty from Banning moving!
We wouldn’t mind taking another half of your job any day you guys did great!

Shout out to the movers, Fernando and Jimmy, who were respectful and careful with all my stuff, including some very fragile items. Special shout out to Tami Addamo, the Customer Service Advisor that I needed to talk to on an administrative issue. Handled very professionally. The guy who wrote the quote, Steve Eschbacher, was very patient and kind. This was my second move with them in as many months. The first was about 1/2 my stuff, then the second the rest. The fact that I went back to them a second time says everything.
