I love this Michaels because it's semi near me. But I hate that there is only one registter open at a time. I hate hobby lobby but at least there are several renters open. I LOVE, LOVE A.C. Moore... but they closed the nearest one to me...

Almost all reasonably priced picture frames are sold out. I settle on something else. As others have pointed out waiting on line is a bit of a hassle. Clearly, my checkout guy was not happy to be working there. One positive: they are open on Sundays.

Always come here to get art supplies in a hurry and they usually have everything I need. They seem to always have a 40-50% coupon off one item on their site so don't forget to use those. The location is fairly convenient and has a large enough parking lot. The staff seems to know where everything is which is helpful. One issue is the checkout line is always a pain to go through. The few times I went they only had 2 cashiers with other workers doing other things. I feel there should be a better system set in place as I had to wait 15 minutes to get a mason jar. Overall it's a good place if you need supplies in a hurry and cannot order on amazon.

On Saturday, 11/23/19 at 8pm, I went to this Commack store because I was in the area. I purchased penguin gloves for my 7 yr old granddaughter in the Massapequa store on Friday, 11/22 and she loved them! She wore them maybe an hour if that and when she showed them off to her Uncle one of the pom poms were missing. She was very upset, so I went to the nearest Michael's and it was the Commack store. As soon as I walked in I approached a young man and asked him if I can even exchange them and he told me no, not without a receipt so I asked for a manager and he said he was a manager and there was nothing he can do. Young man maybe 17 dark hair, not nice at all... definitely NOT manager suited...Michael's you should step it up ALL managers should very accommodating not abrupt, especially in the presence of young children. I gave you the date and exact time so you can see who was manager that night. Anyway, I went back to the Massapequa store without a receipt and they didn't even flinch...they said go get another pair, I went to the register and they even exchanged them for me. Now the Massapequa store is my go to place. Ann Marie

Be careful ordering framing !! Over one week to cut a mat. Ridiculously long time. When I picked up I told them I missed a deadline for an art show. They refunded my money and gave me the mat. Jennifer in Commack was very helpful and concerned that I missed the deadline. Just be aware it may take longer than expected.

Very quite store with plenty of room to navigate around. It actually is well-tidied and neat compared to other stores. However, my negatives is that it is smaller compared to other stores, thus making certain things maybe harder to find. But my issue is with the staff. They aren't social (although mostly younger people) and are on their phones. The cash register guy for example didn't even speak to me once through my whole transaction.

I called prior to shopping here to make sure the item I wanted was in stock. The girl on the phone barely spoke English and kept me on hold for eight minutes. The item was in stock, so I ventured forth. The store is easily visible from the road and is in a convenient location. The parking lot is horrible. Too congested, as there are too many stores. The store is clean and neat. It had a strong smell almost like incense upon entry. There were no employees available to assist me to find what I was looking for. I found it myself, after wandering around the store for ten minutes. Selection is limited. Prices are high. The checkout process was absolute torture. The line was huge. There were many registers, but only two were open! The cashier was very unfriendly. I felt like I was bothering her. Come on Michael's! Let's get it together.

I will never return. No one to help in the aisles, and the checkout was 15 people long. If I didn't have to get what I needed today, there is no way I would have stayed in the store. This is why Amazon is doing so well, Michael's!

I don't usually write bad reviews on people.. but if your working with the public the least you can do is assist customers. I wont go into details.. I peeped her name tag so I might be spelling her name wrong (Sona) she was unprofessional and rude.

I found something I wanted on Michaels web site. Since Michaels is only 5 miles from my house and the website said the item was in stock at this store I decided to go to the store rather than order it online. I go to the aisle where I think it should be and nothing. So now I start to look for someone to help me find this "in stock item." After 15 minutes I gave up looking and went to the register to ask and the person at the register told me the aisle number it would be in...that was where I was already looking. So now I ask someone who was stocking shelves and he says if we had it it would be there (where I already looked). I showed him the website that said the item was in stock and he said it was wrong. So I ask him if he could find out if the item was in stock at another Michaels and he said to get on the line for the register and she could help me. There were six people ahead of me so I walked out and ordered a similar product from Amazon.

Great staff and lots of stuff! I always find something. The line can get long-looking but it always moves fast and they call for extra people quickly.

Good store a lot of great products but what in the world is going on here. Every Michael's store has a serious line problem. Something is wrong with their check-out system and they need to bring in a line expert to do an audit to figure it out. I have stuffed my items onto a shelf and walked out more times than buying the stuff. Michaels, I hope this post paints you a picture!
