Glimmerglass State Park is a great campground with nicely spaced sites, clean restrooms, and hot showers. The park is clean with plenty of space and has beautiful views of Lake Ontario. It has a playground, picnic areas with charcoal grills, and walking trails. The park is well maintained and dog-friendly, with a separate beach for dogs. It offers kayaking and canoeing, and seniors get in for free during the week. The park is a great place for a family day, with amenities for all ages. It is a beautiful park on an amazing lake, perfect for family reunions and outdoor activities.

Very clean and lovely State Park. There are numerous walking trails, basketball courts, playground, a beach area on the lake, many picnic spots and pavilions with grills & camp sites as well as home to the oldest covered bridge in the United States that was built in 1825.

One of the best NY state parks, Glimmerglass presents 3-in-1 opportunity for a visitor: outstanding beach experience, historic mansion tour in Hyde Hall and beautiful hiking trails. Budget the time to sample all three activities, it is well worth it. Ample parking lot with no lack of space on busy holiday weekend.
