First time here but hopefully not the last. After driving thru hours of traffic all I wanted to do was to relax. The water and the view was great. While the room was old it was still really nice. Price was really good. The front desk clerk (sorry I forgot his name) was very patient as I asked my numerous questions. Thank you!!!

Review from current visit at the end. We just spent 2 nights at the lake view in a deluxe room in the building up on the hill (photo and photo of the view toward the lake). We have been here before and the stay was not great. We had issues with the room. This time everything was great. There was no problem with the room and we enjoyed the stay. The staff was kind, friendly, and very helpful. The room was clean and it's location on the property was very good. My wife loves to swim and enjoyed getting in a super clean Otsego lake. Because we we on the hill, the walk down to the lake was a little bit. We were there to enjoy a production at Glimmerglass. We attend almost every year. Sometimes we do not stay overnight. But I prefer to stay 2 nights. We can also visit the Fenimore and take our time. We shall return but I think we will take a cottage next time. They seem very nice and they definitely have a lot of room. We also lucked out on the weather. Thanks again to the staff. We returned after the baseball hysteria ended for the year. It did not turn out the way I thought it would . I came for a little peace . One family, with many kids, can ruin it. I do understand that the baseball hall is nearby. I like it here, but!!!!

Management of the motel was superb and very cooperative. The cleaning crew was outstanding, making sure of every detail.

The rooms are a bit old and dated, but don’t let that stop you. We stayed one night and wished we booked for longer. All the staff members were overly helpful, friendly and funny. The location was amazing. Getting to swim in the lake and watch the sunset and sunrise from the Adirondack chairs… cannot wait to go back.

This is a cute motel with beautiful lake views. We stayed in both a cottage and regular room. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There are beautiful flower planters throughout the property that I really appreciated. And there are many adirondack chairs and picnic tables to sit on outside to enjoy the view. The rooms are pretty outdated though. I think switching out the bedspreads for plain white covers would really update the room and make it look more fresh. Although the rooms are outdated everything is clean and works well.

Beautiful grounds. Cute outdoor chairs and table outside the room to sit and enjoy the view while drinking coffee from the office. Would definitely stay here again

This is a privately owned vintage motor inn type hotel that will make you feel like you stepped into the 1960’s. We had a GE clock radio, mismatched furniture, a GE window air conditioner that looked like it was updated in 1972, a loose faucet, a deadbolt that didn’t fit the strike plate, linoleum floors in the bath, rock parking lot and noisy kids next door - all minor issues that are easily overlooked. We embraced the nostalgic charm and loved every moment of our stay at Lake View. The service was impeccable, the room was clean and comfortable and the lake views and location were perfect. 10 minute drive to the HOF. We would definitely stay again.

Let me start with its a retro motel which makes it not everyone's cup of tea. However if you want good service, nice hospitality and a clean room then you are good to go! If you want brand new rooms with a lobby and a gym then its not for you. The 1st thing I checked when I got here was the window ac to see if it was dirty and black inside. It was brand new and that let me know the air I was breathing was clean. The beds were like going over grandma's house soft and a little squeaky. 20 minutes to dream park and right off the lake, 8 minutes to town and the hall of fame! See you next time!

Great motel staff. Nice location on the lake. Seemed very clean. The price was too high for a standard room with the worst shower experience I have ever had. My daughter wasn’t able to take a shower because the shower was so small the shower head pointed at the opposite wall instead of down so a shorter person would have a hard time. The window AC is very loud but turned out to be a good thing because if you have neighbors walls are paper thin. I’d find it a better deal if I had paid half the price.
