They were able to get our dog in extremely fast to receive a rabies vaccine. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

I had a lovely time visiting this animal shelter today. It was very clean, cool, and a fun environment. The cats were so much fun to play with! Lots of selection!
UPDATE: me & my mom came back and adopted this orange tabby cat! 🐈 We fell in love with him 🥰 it was a great experience with the adoption process and so happy to welcome him to our home !

We recently went to the SPCA to adopt a small dog that was on the website. After a 90 minute drive we arrived to see the dog. Unfortunately he was not a match for us. We were then informed that there was a 1 1/2 year old foster dog that was looking for a home. The foster mom came to the shelter with Jinksie, a beagle mix. She was amazing…filled us in on his habits, likes and dislikes. She came with food for him, leash, harness, collar. She gave us a rundown on his needs/wants. We spoke with her over 1/2 hour about Jinksie. Needless to say, we adopted Jinksie! SPCA waived his adoption fee since he was sheltered off site. He was trained well and we are so grateful to have found him!

The staff is so dedicated and super kind, and they genuinely care about every single animal they take in. I’ve had such a positive experience with them, and I’ve seen how much love and effort they put into everything they do.
Fostering through them has been so rewarding they’re always there to help, and they make sure both the animals and fosters are supported every step of the way.
If you’re thinking about fostering or adopting, I can’t recommend Susquehanna SPCA enough. They’re doing such great work, and I’m really grateful to be a part of it. 💛

Adopted my cat Peony from the Susquehanna SPCA and it was a 100% positive experience. The cat areas were clean, the staff was friendly, and the adoption process was simple and easy.
