Copake General Store is a cute, old little shop with a clean layout and friendly, nice staff. It operates more as a farmers market and local grocer than a traditional general store, offering a good selection of high-quality, great-tasting products. These include local groceries, ready-to-go sandwiches and deli eats, a simple coffee and tea station, and an assortment of unconventional cooking condiments and spices from the Asian continent. While some find the prices expensive, the store is considered a wonderful establishment that adds an element of 'cool' and diverse flavors to the Copake community.
The best peanut butter cookies ever! I ate it during a visit to Copake lake 2 years ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it. This year I was nearby and changed the route just to go over there and grab the last 3 cookies… I wish they have more so I could buy it all lol

Unless I missed something, this place is more of a farmers market and less of a general store with a variety of general items. Friendly service. I ended up going to the gas station to find the general items I was looking for.
