Used to be a regular customer stopped coming due to work schedule . Today I came for a wash blow and trim the women washed my hair super quick and I asked the lady who’s speaks English is she sure it’s clean she just said yeah without coming to check my scalp. Once getting my hair flat-ironed / blow dryer the heat was hot and I tried telling the stylist she didn’t understand and got angry I kept wanting something fixed. She seemed fed up her and the other women there who had blonde hair I forgot her name but she opens the shop . When it was time for the trim I asked the shop open to trim it since she was solely the original person doing my hair I felt comfortable with her cutting it. When she was cutting it she seemed frustrated she was grabbing my hair I felt uncomfortable and I told myself just don’t say nothing she’s about to be finished and you don’t have to continue coming here. She asked if I liked the work I just had a blank stare I said I guess and she got upset threw her hands in the air and dropped them down. When getting ready to pay she told the male charge her 70$ which made no sense . She got loud with me and said what do you mean the price doesn’t make sense ? I said last time a wash and blow was only 55 then your charging for flatiron ? Last time that wasn’t the case this doesn’t make sense. She told
Me don’t come here I don’t want you back . That’s fine I didn’t feel wanted mind you during the service of the trim she told me I must be wearing wigs a lot because my hair is damaged . Why do you assume I’m wearing wigs I never said I did . I felt aggression towards my skin tone I happen to be African American again I’m disgusted in todays work I used to be a happy customer that came here bi weekly.

STAY AWAY!! RUN!! DO NOT DARE GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!
My name is Gigi — I am truly heartbroken and even disgusted after my first visit on Saturday September 6th at 11AM. I walked in with my own hair products (OLAPLEX) for a wash & blow-dry. RUZ employee made a nasty comment when washing my hair “do you ever cut your hair?” Implying that my hair was too long for her liking. (Meanwhile she was severely balding). Then, while I am sitting in her chair ready to get detangled, I hand her my OLAPLEX Bond Smoothing leave-in product for her to apply to my hair. She applies the product but never returns it back to me. She also keeps talking about a dentist appointment she needs to rush to for a root canal (she mentions this appointment about 6 times). I then notice shes rushing through my hair and leaves some areas damp. After my service, she rushes out, doesn’t wait for her tip, & doesn’t even say goodbye. 3 days later, I noticed my OLAPLEX Bond Smoother leave-in product is not in my bag, I immediately call the salon, Ruz answered the phone. I kindly explained to Ruz that I left behind my product in her salon & to please check with her employee. Instead of Ruz kindly helping me, Ruz becomes very hostile stating, “I’ve worked with her for 10 years, she would never steal” … Ruz, I never said you or your employer are thief’s. I simply called asking you to help me locate MY belonging that was left in YOUR business. Ruz quickly looks through her employers drawers and says, “there’s nothing here, call back Thursday or Friday”. I then called back on Thursday asking to speak to Ruz employee and Ruz answers saying “it’s me, it’s not here” I then said, “Ruz, you asked me to call on Thursday and speak to the lady who did my hair” .. she responds, “well she told me it’s not here so I’m telling you it’s not here & I’m busy right now”
Ruz, you displayed disgusting behavior & handled the situation extremely unprofessionally. If you were in my position, you would’ve wanted the owner of the business to be kinder, more accommodating & even check the cameras. You have many cameras in your business and I gave you 1 week to prove me wrong which you have yet to do. Why not check the cameras? Probably because YOU know the truth. Only a liar & a thief becomes hostile when they know they did something wrong. I was extremely kind to you. I never disrespected you; yet you treated me terribly over the phone 2x. Ladies, stay FAR AWAY from this place. They are disgustingly rude & will in fact never return your personal belonging if ever left behind. Find a better place, this salon is trash & not worth your time or money.

Venus Salon & Spa is truly the best! My mom knows her personally, and from the first time I went, I could tell she genuinely loves what she does. She makes you feel so welcomed the moment you walk in, and her passion for her work makes the whole experience even better.

I have been Rus client for 9 years. I meet her when I was pregnant, now my daughter is going to be 9 years old and she loves her. (Me too) She doesnt allow anyone else touching her hair, only Rus.
Rus always does a beautiful, great and amazing job. Every penny is well spent. I highly recommend Venus Salon.

It was my first time getting my hair done at Venus salon as my coworker recommended Rus. I traveled all the way from Staten Island, and it was worth the trip because I never met a stylist that cared enough about their clients hair to discuss a treatment plan. Her hair treatments are organic and stimulate hair growth which is what I needed for my very thin hair. The finished look was so healthy and Amazing! Thank you so much Russ I will def keep coming back!

Extremely unprofessional and uncommunicative. I visited this salon four times and never experienced any problems till today. I received a standard wash, blowout, and flat iron; the only extra was a trim. The entire cost of the service was $75, and this place significantly raised the price for me from my past visits . Not even my hair reaches my back. When I asked the owner why she stayed in the back, she spoke in an extremely unprofessional manner about the price that shouldn't be accepted, rather than approaching to explain why the price may have increased. I advise you to visit other local salons with more competent and reasonably priced management.

I was a little hesitant and a little scared about getting the Brazilian blow out but you told me you’re gonna love it she went over step by step and she put my mind at ease and the end result was perfect. So happy with it.
