this review is for miller place peoples bank. they told me I needed to open a checking account, not just a savings account that I wanted. then they charged me 3 dollars per paper statement so since those charges brought me beneath the amount necessary to keep in checking, they then added 10 dollar service charges each month too! I went down there to close my accounts and was told I had a negative balance! I said that's impossible and then found out someone had transferred 500 dollars out of my checking act 2ice in 2 weeks. I had them track it but asked why no one from their fraud dept contacted me as I have never used the account before so this was suspicious activity. I was told that gets done at their fraud dept at main office not at local branches and they dont know why I wasnt alerted or why it wasn't red flagged. Scary!

I visit this branch as business to bussiness.althought people’s bank doesn’t have clear instruction and mislead to attract bussiness. When I question their inclusion of all bussiness. The manager respond angrily and arrogant. The Coram branch inside stop and shop is dirty and un keep and not welcoming. In addition that entering that stop and shop branch you get approach every time by unwelcome characters. Not recommended. If you want to have a better networking experience it’s best to Look someplace else

Called office Told person who answered phone I was a customer ,asked if they had a notary in branch. Person abruptly said NO and Hung up very rude poor customer service!pulling it all out large account holder

very strange discriminatory lending practices. i have had a checking account with suffolk county national bank for almost 25 years, i heard they were bought out by peoples united bank, and that is not good! I just applied for a credit card, sent in all required documentation, and he said my physical and mailing address are too far away, was very curt and short with me, and said they are denying the credit card they already mailed out. does that make any sense to anyone? I will be calling the BBB and NY State Attourney Generals office, why did they approve and send me a card before asking for verification? the rudeness of Rob was questionable, no valid reason I can think of besides blatant banking discrimination! So I was approved the card before you saw my license, and he asked why i applied to a bank in NY when I live currently in california, (Bi-coastal) I said because ive had an active account at SCNB since 1994! its not my fault this fraud off brand peoples united bought SCNB! I want my real bank back! These frauds are rude, unprofessional and discriminatory! Take your business somewhere else! My addresses are valid, how can you say how far away my mailing and home address is? it takes less than an hour to get there! retarded excuses, glad to not be their custome, they probably did a hard pull on my card too! stay away!

Don't use the drive through window. You'll sit there for 15 minutes for a simple 2 check deposit.
