Hours: Area 51 is Cortland's Friendly Local Game Store. It sells a wide selection of games, collectibles, books, Tarot, jewelry, and much more, including thousands of pop-culture items. The store carries brands such as Pokémon, Funko Pops, Dungeons & Dragons, Star Wars, and Squishmallows, with products ranging from board games and role-playing games to card games, novels, dice, miniatures, and apparel. It also features numerous custom creations made locally with 3D printers and heat sublimation. The store is bigger inside than it appears from outside and has a very informative and friendly staff that makes customers feel part of the community. It offers a good selection of what is played locally, including a huge variety of TCG games and products, especially for Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon, and hosts weekly game nights. While one visitor was not acknowledged, others report phenomenal service, with staff offering to order specific items not in stock. The store is described as a very interesting place and one of the best collectibles stores.
