Hotel looks nice and simple as well as clean. If you are expecting glamour, modern you will be disappointed. Rooms are a little depressing but very low grade simple. It’s ok if you are visiting Cortland university.

Rooms were very dirty. There’s something on the side of our bed that looks like old chunks of vomit. I wouldn’t sit or sleep on the sofa; there were some interesting looking stains/spots on it

Overall it was a great experience. I would have given 5 stars, but the employees smoking just a few yards from the entrance was an issue. The first thing we saw when we arrived was 3 or 4 sitting at the table just outside the door. It was an eyesore and the odor was far from appealing. This should not be the first thing you encounter upon arrival. I also understand the employees are multi-tasking, but to have to stand and wait to check-in so the front desk employee can finish her cigarette is not the best way to do business.

We had the pleasure of staying one night at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites in Cortland, and our experience was outstanding. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Curtis, who ensured a smooth and efficient check in process. He was exceptionally courteous, attentive, and accommodating, and he provided us with a spacious room that was perfect for our family. His professionalism and commitment to excellent customer service were truly commendable.
The room was immaculately clean and well-maintained. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the pool and would have happily stayed there all evening.
We were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. We look forward to returning in the future.

This is the most ridiculous experience we had with a hotel. At 10:30 pm, some people were still outside, playing loud music , getting fireworks, and talking loudly. The noise was so bad that we felt our room was shaking. We found a lot of college students just goofing around at the backside parking lot close to a resting area. Apparently they used it like a bar for partying. But this shall be a hotel for resting. We talked to the front desk twice after it was getting worse. And we also worry it was unsafe allowing them keeping doing that since we don’t know if drug or fight might be involved. Nothing changed. Since it was sold out, we can not switch to any other room also. We have been with Marriott over a decade. Nothing like this happened before that allowing such noise after 10 pm even 12 am without a good reason. And the fs did not do anything actually like management but just told us “I already told them to go to bed”. It was still going on close to 12am, our kids were scared by the noise and could not sleep. At last we had to call the police and told the fd man that we filed a formal complaint through membership customer service. He finally act like a manager to inform the students that they influenced the other guests and they need to stop. But! he told the students it was us complained and our room number, so the students knocked on our door at midnight! The fd man said the students would like to say sorry without thinking they might be drunk and did unexpected move to us?! After at least two hour crazy noise, we finally got strangers who we don’t know if friendly knocked on our door at midnight. Isn’t this ridiculous?
We shall rate negative on this hotel if we can.

We booked a “suite” after having great experiences at different Marriot locations. This had to be one of the poorest rooms we’ve ever stayed in. Only window is in the bedroom to the rear. The living area is furnished with a vinyl loveseat and mismatched tables that look like they came from a thrift store. No wall art. Just an off centered tv. Coffee maker not even plugged in, but stored in a cubby above the microwave. Dark, no windows, normal conversation echoes from bare walls. Safe? Nope. Working phone to call the front desk? Nope. Peeling ceiling in the shower? Check. Dirty glass on shower doors? Check. Darkness? Check. Only able to control temperature in “suite” is in the bedroom. No hotel information in room other than Marriot credit cards. I had to use a white noise app to drown out the noise of our neighbors. This at a cost of over $300. We pay less for corner suites in Philadelphia with walls of windows. Pathetic property. I’d expect better from a Days Inn. We couldn’t wait to leave. We expressed our disappointment at checkout to be offered $50. Or, 5000 points. Pathetic. $50 off over $300? Do better!

Classic Marriott stay. The front desk employees were friendly and helpful. The rooms were huge with comfortable beds. Ideal location near SUNY Cortland and a quick drive to downtown/Main Street. Free breakfast in the morning was convenient and tasted good. I'd stay again.

Stayed there for just one night because we lost power after a storm and have boys ages 3 and 4 and live about 30 minutes away. I didn't catch the name of the young man working the front desk. He has a big light colored beard and was one of the best hotel staff we have ever come across. Rooms were super nice and we utilized the pool which was also clean and quiet. Breakfast was worth the entire price of the room. Could not have had a better stay. Will definitely stay again if the opportunity arrives. Kids keep asking to go back, might just stay for fun to take a swim this winter.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Ithaca and Niagara Falls. The hotel room was clean. They provide decent breakfast spread not that great (bagels, waffle, scrambled eggs, fruits, juices). They don’t keep basic sliced bread though which we thought should be added and no microwave in the breakfast area.Overall decent stay
