This place is horrible!!! Smells of musty cigarettes, dirty, bad service, toilet was disgusting. Spend the extra money and stay elsewhere.

This hotel should be condemned. Cockroaches, bugs, filthy unswept rooms and halls! Mold in bathrooms! Drug dealers associated with staff posted in the lobby making deals throughout the night. Between the staff sleeping at 3:30p checkin to the overnight staff being confrontational and of no help, with her drug dealer friend standing there we didn’t even feel safe to discuss a resolution further. This hotel should be shut down for health concerns.Safety: Did not feel safe for health reasons or personally from threatening drug dealers in the lobby and staff. Condemn this building!

There is nothing quality about this place. It should be closed for business. It doesn't deserve any stars. We booked this place through a 3rd party unfortunately for our son's race in the area. The lobby smells of urine, as do the hallways. When you get to the room it doesn't lock, smells musty, and mold and mildew in the bathroom. The AC was barely working, and it's summer. The sheets had disgusting stains on them and the pillowcases had makeup on them. The cleaning lady was brought in, and she said she changed the sheets when I pointed out the makeup and stains. I have no idea how this place is in business. Long story short they wouldn't give me my refund even though I didn't stay there because of the unhabitable conditions. I'd rather lose money than stay in this dump! Keep it moving!!!

Front desk girl was very sweet, but that’s the ONLY positive thing. As soon as you enter the hallways you can smell cigarettes, urine, and must and there are visible nasty stains all over the carpets, the room was disgusting, bed was very obviously unchanged. Dirty, smelly carpeted floor with obvious stains and spills, dirty bathroom with mold and peeling wallpaper, stray human hairs all over the bed sheets, had to wait around the front desk a while upon checkout. For a non-smoking place, it smells like an ash tray. Pass.

There was peeling wallpaper, dented walls, stains on the bathroom ceiling, and little flies coming out of the sink. The 1st 3 days the only fruit available were 2 tiny apples. More apples and some greenish bananas appeared on day 3. Could use general refreshing of paint, flooring, etc.

It's hard to rate this hotel because I think they are trying...the staff is super friendly and the best part about the hotel. The location is great for anything Cortland related. The lobby area is nice and spacious and looked pretty nice when you walked in as well. The rooms were the worst part. The bed was comfy and the room was clean and that's about all I can say that was good. The air conditioning made everything feel damp including the floor. If you turned the air conditioning off, it would feel normal in the room, but then it was too hot. The damp floor made you not want to walk barefoot. I would have thought it was just our room but multiple people had the same issue. Honestly if they changed the air conditioning the hotel would not have been bad at all. The people who worked there were extremely helpful and accommodating and tried their hardest to make everyone happy and it's walking distance to a park, Starbucks and Dunkin so that's nice too!

On my list of hotels I'll never return to, room was so gross. If we hadn't arrived at midnight I would have definitely gone somewhere else. The rugs were sticky, the room had a horrible damp smell, the wallpaper was peeling. There was mold in the shower. The hotel needs a serious renovation.Only positive is they allow dogs but their website says the pet fee is $25 and we were charged $30.Rooms: Terrible smell, wallpaper peeling, floor was sticky

If you want a secure clean location for your stay...MOVE ON. None of the perimeter doors lock so anybody can walk in to the facility at any time. The room door does not have a strike plate. The room door is nasty and looks terrible. The ironing board cannot stand as it is bentThe head is on or off. Temp set at 59 deg. 80 deg in the room. The replaced the old unit and boarded up the unneeded holes. Leaving the bottom of the unit unsealed so a cool breeze blows across the floor.Toilet seat broken, toilet bowl has a ring around the bowl. The bathroom ceiling is a drop ceiling that is stained and may tiles ajar leaving gaps. The walls have holes from old devices mounted.Cobwebs on the ceilingStained carpets. The continental breakfast is a breakfast you want to fast from. When we arrived they didn't have the correct rooms booked (booked with 3rd party) they did move people around to accommodate us. For that they get a thumbs up. After that it went down hill quickly. The rooms were dirty. Socks in one closet, paper clips and pens on the floors. One room was missing the fridge. The tubs in both rooms were dirty. There was almost NO hot water for showers in the morning. The breakfast was seriously lacking. One room someone tried to access at 730 am after being told the room was vacant. Over all I was not impressed and will be staying somewhere else next time.

My wife and three children were scheduled to stay here on the nights of 12/24 and 12/25 of 2022 in rooms 118 and 119. We never went into room 119, but after going into 118, we saw mold up on the wall paper and the room smelled like mold. The AC/heat unit looked to be in pretty rough shape, although we did not turn it on to see if it worked. The carpet had several burn marks in it. The bathroom looked clean. The beds were made and looked clean. In room 116 (shares a wall with 118), someone was keeping a dog that was barking in a very distressed way and it could be heard clearly in room 118. It was quite late at night when we got there, and the mold and the dog barking in particular were enough for us to decline the stay. The lady at the front desk was very kind and understanding about the concerns raised. The rooms were $80 per night and while decent hotels often cost a bit more than this per night, at a minimum I am going to expect the rooms to be clean and free of any mold or other unpleasant odors. This is the first hotel I have ever declined a stay at.

The room was a good value for the money. The hotel is convenient (it is right of I-81). The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet could use a few more item...like bagels, toast, English muffins, etc. And the carpeting in the breakfast area could definitely stand to be cleaned. But otherwise, it was adequate.

1) I booked 2 double rooms for one night for graduation weekend 2022, we were a group of 6 (5 adults, 1toddler) When the weekend was getting close, one in our group tested positive for covid and was not coming with us. I called Quality Inn to cancel one of the rooms, as it was still refundable according to my booking. I was informed that cancellations for graduation weekend had to have been made 3 months prior! 2) So we had 2 rooms to pay for. In one of the rooms, we opened the drawer next to the fridge while searching for an ice bucket and were BLASTED WITH A CLOUD OF MOLD! There were 2 open loaves of GREEN bakery bread. Luckily my niece was across the hall as she suffers with asthma.... 3) When i called the front desk about this event I was promised a discount on the room, then again when I walked by the front desk, I was reminded that I would be compensated regarding the CLOUD OF MOLD. 4) It's been 1 month and 6 phone calls, mostly messages, sometimes no pick up and still no satisfaction. 5) I will not stay there again, and I do not recommend this particular motel in Cortland NY

Really old hotel/motel, friendly staff, but interior needs serious renovation. The room rate was 100 dollars, so it was understandable. The shower water pressure is very low.2 stars , 1 star for free basic breakfast, 1 star for friendly staff.Minus 3 stars for super old interior overall.

I have given a better star rating than this establishment deserves solely bc the staff we did encounter was very pleasant and helpful in the ways they could. It is clear from the moment you pull up to the hotel that it is an old, shabby building in need of serious repair. How this hotel passes it’s inspections are frankly beyond me.The housekeeping flaws were not the worst I’ve seen in my years of hotel work. The maintenance however was quite terrible. To start, our room when we got here has old, stained wallpaper with every cut seem pulling away from where it should be stuck. The ceilings are also stained. The air conditioner rattles very loudly, and leaks onto the floor. The carpets very badly need to be shampooed. There isn’t enough hot water in the showers at least, to go around when there’s a full house. (The sink was absolutely fine though)The vent in the bathroom runs, but definitely does not do as it should so the bathroom door really needs to be open when showering. There were several broken tiles in the bathroom so we kept towels down to save our feet. The worst maintenance issue was what appears to be a .22 caliber bullet hole in the window! Not repaired obviously. Not to mention the cracks in the tub floor which makes it very uneasy to be in, and the mold/mildew in the shower ceiling area from the vent not working properly. The ice machine also did not work.As for housekeeping flaws, aside from the carpets needing a wash, there was some staining on “fresh” towels when we arrived. There was only a half roll of toilet paper in the entire room. Soap scum on the shower walls, faucet, and turn on knob. We had put garbage out bc we declined housekeeping due to our dog, and it sat in the hall for a day and a half. And a dusting on lamps and such were needed. Again these are quite minimal grievances compared to maintenance. It is quite clear the owner of this establishment cares very little for their investment.
