This store is so confusing. Is it real? When I call no one ever answers, and then I get a very weird recording and an automated text in reply. I've texted in response many times and mostly get no answer, and once I got a very short cryptic response. Is this actually a real store?

My husband and I recently embarked on our journey of starting a chicken coop, and I must say that Pick-a-Chick exceeded our expectations. They have an impressive variety of chicks, including adorable silkies, which my daughter absolutely loves!
From the moment I arrived, Alex was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. He patiently took the time to answer all of my questions and shared a wealth of valuable chicken-keeping advice that made me feel confident about our new venture. He d helped me understand the best practices for raising healthy and happy chickens.
I highly recommend them to anyone interested in starting their own coop!

Very informative and knowledgeable. We went in asking questions about starting a coop and best way of how to build one. We talked for 40 minutes and he answered all of our questions. Will be giving them our business once we get started

Beautiful store, very nice father and son helped us choose the best age and type of additions for my existing flock. Exceptionally clean and well cared for chicks. Very responsive if you call and was very willing to help. The text line is automated i think and they don't answer.
Make sure to Quarantine your birds, the two Golden Comets I bought were sick with Coryza Bacterial infection or Bronchitis. I see a month ago someone else bought the same breed also sick and they died. I hate to think they knew they were selling sick birds to me. Despite having them seperated from my flock they overlapped ground and got close through the cages and now all my birds are sick with Respritory illness.

Their hens does not any lay any eggs, at least all three that I have don’t, most of there chickens have some kind of deformation on their legs making it hard for them to get around. Someone needs to make sure these people are not harming the chickens.

Just bought three chicks today and it was a wonderful experience. They guided me through the whole process of being a first time chicken owner and sold me the most beautiful chicks to start my flock.

They sell many different breeds of chickens , I brought four hens but unfortunately one passed away the very next day. You should examine your chickens before you buy. Alex and Leniod was helpful but it was sad that they sold me a sick dying hen.

Pick A Chick has provided fertilized eggs for my classroom for the past 5 years! Every year I have had a successful hatch. This year we had eight cuties of a variety of breeds. They even have incubators and food. You can get everything you need for a successful hatch. I highly recommend Pick A Chick for all your poultry needs.

We just started our coop this year and have purchased 7 chicks from this store. They are all healthy and like being handled. Very knowledgeable about the birds and gave me a lot of tips on how to set up the coop. We will definitely purchase from here again. UPDATE: one silkie and the created Polish started crowing at 6 weeks! They are just the cutest babies and all 7 birds I purchased are thriving!

This place charges a premium for their chicks and the owner tries to sell you all his own supplies at a premium too, even if you already have your own. Other than that nice store and chick selection. My real problem is that I paid $25 a piece and they are not even the breed of chicks I ordered. I ordered cuckoo marans and they look to be majesty marans. It's one thing to get the wrong breed when you spend $5 a piece at tractor supply, but not for these prices. I texted the owner, and no response. Not even an apology. My birds below and what they should look like next to them.

My husband and I visited this store for our first supply of chicks. Alex was excellent and a wealth of knowledge. It was Sunday and we were the first customers there. The store got busy quickly but Alex answered all our questions and assisted us with all you need to start raising chickens. Alex’s passion for his business and willingness to help is rare these days and we are forever grateful. Looking forward to many more visits to pick a chick. I hear having chickens are addictive….lets see!!!!
