“Had my nieces Bat mitzvah here. The food was outrageous, the service was fantastic. Only negative, they kept clearing the plates away so fast. Some people lost their plates as they were eating. My niece got her plate taken away and never even got to eat. There was so much left over food and I don't know what happened to it all. I hope it went to a good place.”

“My family went to Monteverde on my mom’s birthday (12/29) to see all of the Christmas lights and to enjoy a delectable meal. We were blown away by the hospitality and warmth of the entire staff, including the owner who gave us a tour of the upstairs! It was a memorable way to celebrate Mom and the holiday season. “I could not recommend The Garrison enough for our winter wedding (1.20.24). The venue was the perfect mix of upscale and relaxed - just what we were looking for. Annie and the team made sure everything was perfect. There's no need to overthink your day because they just know the perfect wedding formula that works. The views are spectacular, the food amazing, the hospitality was warm and all our guests felt it.I really liked that The Garrison had guest rooms in the Inn where guests could stay during our wedding. We had a few families with young kids and they were able to go upstairs when the kids were tired.I highly recommend their winter package. You're getting an amazing deal for the venue, food, staff. You won't regret it.”

“I’m very late to give this 5-star review, but it still needs to be done. I got married here in October of 2022, and it was perfect. I don’t have one complaint, but I have many praises to share. Alana, Paige, and Maria were fantastic, and I didn’t necessarily make it easy for them (I don’t think lol). I had a lot of decor, checklists, etc. (very organized perfectionist bride) and they managed all the moving pieces seamlessly. Huge 3-room bridal suite with plenty of room for the ladies to get ready, as well as a separate spacious area for the men, and my husband and I were able to stay there that night. The venue was beautiful, we were lucky to have gotten an amazing fall day, they did have great backup options in case of inclement weather, which luckily we didn’t need. I don’t understand why more people local to Rockland don’t get married here and are always choosing places an hour or more away. It was super convenient for myself and guests, and had amazing views, which produced beautiful photos, particularly in the fall season we chose. Not to mention, the food options were super customizable and DELICIOUS, tons of stations, dinner selections, multiple desserts in addition to wedding cake, late night snack. Everyone is still raving over the food, venue, whole wedding in general, and I owe a huge thank you to Paramount for making our day literally perfect.”

“I joined my G.S. team here from 11/5-11/7. The beautiful surroundings first caught my eye...405 acres of peace, tranquility, and nature. I wish I could have stayed longer just to explore more. Waking up to the sunrise was incredible!! Upon check-in, I was met by Peter Stafford, who welcomed me and shared information concerning the location of the room. Brian, the bus driver, and another gentleman, who I embarrassingly cannot remember his name now, took our luggage to our lodging area and helped us get around over the few days. I am so delighted with the accommodations that the Food and Beverage staff shared. I was never made to feel uncomfortable or treated as though I was difficult. They went out of their way to make sure I had food I could eat even with my allergies. A huge THANK YOU to Aquime, James, Dan, and Nariccisa for the best customer service and all-around kindness. I may not remember the girls' names at the front desk or others on the staff, but I just want to thank each and every one for making my trip wonderful. The room was clean and I had everything I needed...the bottles of water were a lovely surprise. Amazing team, beautiful atmosphere, and a rejuvenating experience...one that I highly recommend to others!!! THANK YOU, AGAIN!!!Rooms: Spacious, well-cared for clean!Walkability: Great space for walking and the best accommodations if you need assistance getting around. “I can’t say enough about the hospitality of the folks here! Ron, the fleet captain went the extra mile to get us a dock for our IP 370 sailboat, Vinny and his buddy helped us tie up and then even walked our boat from a bow in to a stern in, Mike the mechanic spent a lovely evening with us visiting, and so many others made us feel so welcome! Although the pool and restaurant/bar closed after Labor Day weekend, and there is no laundry facility, the marina has beautifully maintained quiet floating docks, a channel with 6-7 foot of depth high tide, and plenty of canopied areas to relax in. The restroom and showers are clean, spacious and well equipped. Grocery stores are a short ride away, and a number of members here offered rides. An added bonus: no nearby train tracks! After a few rough nights on the anchor, Cortlandt Yacht Club was the respite we needed before continuing our way south to the Bahamas. Thank you members! I highly recommend your facility.”

“We had an awesome time for our daughters Bat Mitzvah. The staff couldn't be more perfect. They handled everything flawlessly and we like even when dealing with dozens of hyped up shrieking kids. Food was good and there was plenty of it. Parking was ample. Really have no complaints about the place. Would plan other events there.”

“I went there for a 70th birthday party. wow the buffet and choices of breakfast and brunch were excellent. the coffee was very good and cakes desserts danish muffins. the chicken with sauce was great and penne everything was delicious. the staff was nice the place was emaculate clean. the waterfall in the back seating was all nice. id go here again,”

“Usually not overly crowded. A fun 9 hole golf course with a very friendly staff. A couple difficult holes with a difficult slant otherwise a good course to practice your game.”

“We were here the other night for a dear friend's wedding, and I'm here to tell you this place is beautiful! The grounds outside are amazing they had the ceremony in the back, and it overlooked the mountains with the trees it was just breathtaking. The staff here is amazing they're so on top of it, and you really couldn't have asked for a better experience. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside. Again, the staff was amazing. This place was so clean, and everybody was just super friendly. There is ample space in what I am assuming to be like a grand ball room, it's huge it's bigger than what I thought it would be there was about 10 tables in there and ample space for probably 10 more. Beautiful experience amazing.”

“Great night on the early side at the Birdsall. Made a reservation at the last minute and glad we did as it started to fill up pretty early. Calamari salad - delish. Split a good burger - amazing fries! Nice wine by the glass and great service - So nice to have such a great spot in Peekskill! Looking forward to nice weather to sit in their great outdoor space - a rarity in the area.”

“Great view of the water, good service. A bit pricey for what it is. The Bronzino was very good. The short ribs were good, but not great. Got one of their signature drinks and it was a bit stingy for an $18 drink.”
