A huge majority of the time I wait at the outside teller for more than 15-20 minutes. I pull up and lane is open but no teller. It is very tough when you just want to do a deposit. I look in there, no one acknowledges me. I wonder if I didn’t see red instead of green light…on and on until a seemingly annoyed teller just sends my slip back … just wierd

Banking at BOGC Coxsackie is great. Warm smiles from all the employees. Always able to help with any issues. I have all my savings, checking, loans with them.

BEWARE!!!You would think telling them MULTIPLE times you do not want overdraft, but still getting overdraft fees you’re left confused and upset for continuously telling them that you DO NOT want overdraft, but no one explains to you that you STILL get charged even if something tries to go through. Absolutely absurd. I’ve spend probably over $1,000 on “overdraft” fees meanwhile, I’m not even over drafting, as the money is not being taken. Thank you to all of the employees who have not explained this to me, I would’ve save $1,000 AND taken my business elsewhere, when I should’ve already done so a LONG time ago.

I've been using this bank since I was ten, I've always had two accounts. One kept under (but near) 1k and another of the rest of my money. The reason for this is the 4% interest rate on accounts under 1k. Whenever I go, I'm greeted BY NAME by Lisa, the woman in the corner office. I've noticed that she makes a point to know her customers, and is very personal. She always seems to have things to say about my accounts specifically- just by me walking in the door. I don't have to ask her questions, I don't have to tell her my account number: she just knows and she also knows how many rewards points I'm earning. Usually she comments on ways I can earn more points, and what I'm doing that's earning/not earning points. All in all a wonderful bank to use, I try to see Lisa every time but most of the tellers at the counter are very helpful as well.

Today I am closing my account. This is a local bank in the town where I have lived for most of the past forty years. Nearly every time I go to cash a check there for my minor children (very often drawn on this bank) they give me a hard time. Not worth the trouble to maintain an account there, primarily for this purpose.
