My brother was at psych hospital for 6 months, this pharmacy is 3 minutes away from hospital. Prescriptions for discharge was called into this pharmacy that was essential for the next day and mandatory for discharge.My mom called to confirm that it was in stock,told by owner eileen that they would have to special order it for $200 mom agreed bc Eileen stated it was the only way to get med. Eileen played with my mothers heart strings and stated to her that her paying this money was the only way to get the med for pt to come home. Come to find out that this pharmacy is a supplier for the mental hospital so i will be following up to see how many other pts this woman has ripped off and picked up RX at other locations without permission. Eileen is a co-owner of location with husband, has no credentials to be working in a pharmacy or to be picking up meds for a patient from a CVS then passing them off as own.my mom got a text saying pt prescription was ready for pickup (same med) at CVS in danbury. This text was at 12:54pm, Eileen violated HIPPA, picked up the script and brought back to her pharmacy. When mom noticed the text she called CR where was told to delete the text immediately.I called CVS,med was picked up by a woman 5 min after it was ready at 1:04pm, text was not mistake. CVS stated she used personal CC. I went to this CVS to review video footage, Eileen was seen giving pt name and DOB to pick up med from entirely different pharmacy, she paid $10 for pts insurance price for this script standing at the counter asking for his script as if it was for her while my mom paid 200$ to "special order". After finding this info out, went into cross river to question why filled at CVS/picked up by her, stated she was given permission was doing a favor,untrue while overcharging $190. I was 2 min from the CVS where she illegally picked up med that did not belong to her, not one phone call was made to pt. She stated she spoke to my mom and got auth to send/pick up the med for her, phone call never happened. I then called police after Eileen was on a phone stating she had my moms CC info written on paper "somewhere around" and became hostile on phone. I found it extremely violating that charged $200 for medication she did not even provide as pharmacy. The med had a CVS logo on it not a cr logo. Eileen went into CVS and picked up script that was not supposed to be there in the first place. Eileen called by staff on speaker not present,was rude and stuttered to answer questions about matter. She interrupted, said whatever and had staff refund 200$. Pharmacist,owner of the store,stu (Eileens husband) showed up while PD was talking to my partner and I explaining situation.Once PD left stu came up to my car and stated that he was sorry and did not know what happened.Stu stated that there was no such thing as a special order fee and when asked where the 200$ amount came from he stated that she must have come up with that number for her time.Stu was told that we would be following up with police and pressing criminal charges for impersonation and fraud.Stu then began begging not to do that and asked if there was anything he can do to smooth it over. I stated that wife committed fraud as well as impersonation and could have switched the medication in that box with anything.This woman should not even be behind pharmacy counter with no credentials,let alone telling people pt name and DOB outside of the pharmacy. Eileen as the owner of this pharmacy took it upon herself to transfer the med and not let anyone know, gauging 190$.I told stu that i could have picked it up and that no phone calls were made getting auth.I would not trust this pharmacy if my life depended on it. The amount of begging that stu did before I left to not press charges or push matter further makes it seem like this has happened many times before.If I had not gotten a text from the CVS pharmacy we wouldn't have ever known. Extraordinary personal service. For a disabled patient who needed flu and Covid vaccinations, but, because of the disability, would be unable to wait, and so would need to be vaccinated on arrival, the pharmacy volunteered to fill out the necessary paperwork in advance, over the phone, in order to expedite the process.

Had to pick up a special Rx for my kitty. Great place, great people, not too bad price wise. Not a typical pharmacy, great selection of gifty items, books by local authors. If I lived closer I'd spend time there!

Was driving 45 minutes to Cross River Pharmacy worth it? YES! I found this pharmacy because I needed an uncommon medication compounded and they did a fantastic job of figuring out how to make the medication into a liquid form with a great taste. Highly recommend. Well organized, friendly, and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone.

Our first choice for all our pharmacy needs. Cross River Pharmacy, Elaine, Stuart and their staff are so good. They make the extra effort to work with you, and offer a level of customer service that's unmatched (and pretty rare these days.) I also like their gift & card selections and always find something else I need like candles or gift wrap.

The only pharmacy I’ve ever used that doesn’t call or at least send a text message to let you know when your order is ready. I stood at the pick up counter for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged my existence. First and last time using this place.

I am an exotic animal veterinarian in Westchester County, NY, and my hospital, Veterinary Center for Birds & Exotics in Bedford Hills, NY, has prescribed nearly every compounded medication for the unique pets we treat (that cannot take pills but must take liquid medications) through Cross River Pharmacy for more than a decade. The pharmacists there have been incredibly accomodating to meet the varied and specific needs (i.e., medication volume, strength, flavor, etc.) of all the unique species we treat. They also have been great at getting these medications to pet owners quickly and efficiently when their pets are really sick. I recommend Cross River Pharmacy highly and wholeheartedly and will continue to rely on them as my animal hospital's main compounded medication supplier!

I have so many positive things to share about Cross River Pharmacy after my veterinarian sent a prescription to be compounded for my cat Benny. The woman I spoke to regarding Benny's prescription was extremely helpful, very kind and understanding of the challenges that come with medicating a finicky cat. We decided to go with chicken flavoring and I truly appreciate her willingness to help find another option if need be. I was hopeful that flavoring the medication would make things less stressful for Benny but I had no idea how well received it would be. Benny LOVES it! He enthusiastically licks every drop from the syringe and looks for more! I cannot thank Cross River Pharmacy enough and will recommend them to anyone with a pet in need of compounded medication! Please keep up the magic that you work, you've made life for both Benny and I much easier!
