Several months ago, I hired Universal Signs to legalize a sign over a retail store in Bethpage, Long Island. They did a fantastic job and I would definitely hire them again, or recommend them to anyone in need of sign services.
From the moment they first answered the phone, and through all of our phone calls, e-mails, and text messages, everyone at Universal Signs was great to deal with. They were always professional, polite, and easy to deal with. Equally important, they got my sign legalized super-quickly, which allowed me to avoid a town-issued violation. They are GREAT!

Shady shady business. Doesnt pay vendors and doesnt communicate with clients when there is an issue. ALSO this company laid off their veteran workforce during covid shutdown and hired undocumented workers at 50% wages to cut corners and save money. They were operating illegally during the shutdown as well. If you want to support american business and american workers avoid this place.

If I could give this company zero stars I would...15k spent and I cannot get the owner to communicate with me as I am not happy about my sign. My project manager is rude and tells me it will do any good to speak with the owner. Who gets 15k from a customer and you will not resolve issues with them. I asked for a bigger sign (in writing) and was told I could not have one by the project manager Rick...there is a ton of space for a bigger sign so I am not sure why I couldn't have one. I called the city and they did not have a restriction on my sign size in that space. The company they subcontracted to install my street sign gauged it and no one will talk to me about fixing it. Do not use this company they just take your money and run.

STAY AWAY IS MY RECOMMENDATION! Ordered a sign, and was one delay after another delay. They kept promising tomorrow, and then tomorrow again. It seemed like tomorrow was never coming, and when it did, you wished it was yesterday and tomorrow never did come! This company says they're in business for almost 15 years, you would think my sign was the first one they ever made and the first one they ever installed. Letters were produced crooked and uneven, and installed even worse. Colors which were supposed to one color turned out to be 12 different shades of the color. Refused to let them finish the job; work was amateur at best.

Incredible Service received from start to finish, from permits to final inspection. These guys are professional and their products are second to none. I run a store chain across the Country and miraculously they've even supplied one of my stores in Honolulu Hawaii! And in a timely manner meeting Store opening deadlines! Fantastic! They certainly took the pressure off of me and made me look like a Superstar to my Superiors! Use them! You won't be sorry!!!
