I regularly shop at the Deer Park location and am generally satisfied with it. I occasionally get the rotisserie chicken, which I did again on March 12. The price has not changed in a couple of years, but the chickens are smaller and smaller. The problem is they continue to cook them the same way, as a result they are overcooked. I picked one that was not so well done, but still I ended up with very dry and trashy meat. They need to do something about that

On Saturday, March 2, at around 11 a.m., my wife and I stopped at BJs to shop for the week. I usually prefer instant checkout, but today, mainly because I was pressed for time. After scanning 20 items and paying, I received a digital receipt. My wife is a secondary account member, so I checked the remaining items using her login. At that point, I was able to pay, but I was unable to retrieve a receipt for the second transaction. We headed to customer service and explained the situation. Tina came to assist a cashier who could not identify the problem. She decided the issue was the result of us not simply not paying. Then she stated that the charges listed as pending in my account were soft and would eventually fall off. That would make sense, except I had a receipt for the first transaction, also listed as pending.Tina would not allow us to explain or even state our concerns. She knew we were just being dishonest. After a few minutes of her suggesting I was trying to get away with not paying, I placed an open hand toward the counter, which landed on her hand, and asked her to please hear me out. She said Ouch as if she had been assaulted, and at that point, I walked away. Tara, a front-end cashier, assisted us as best she could. However, my account was ultimately charged 3x, which is an inconvenience but no one's fault. My issue here is that it is impossible to determine someone’s integrity based on their complexion. Moments after I touched Tina’s hand, I witnessed a customer holding her forearm. Tara gently touched my forearm to reassure me she would figure it out. My concern is for people who shop at BJ's using the last of their money, as I often have and do not have the funds to repurchase an order due to a system malfunction, and how they will be treated, especially if they are a person of color. I could not imagine going home to my children with no groceries and being accused of dishonesty, and I will not be shopping at BJS, especially the Deer Park location.

So sad ? is my sister's birthday and we always buy a cake for her at deer park location but this time they refuses to put her name on it because the only one who can do it was on her break and they told me to wait for her 40 minutes no way...

Terrible customer service. I asked where the water is and she was so rude saying find it yourself then at the checkout I just wanted to apply a coupon she threw mad attitude. BJ's is really for people who can't afford Costco membership.

Wendy in the deli counter is so courteous and slices the Roast Beef to perfection. I go to Deer Park instead of Farmingdale just to get the Beef sliced by her.

Not even deserve single star, so lazy and useless staff, even manager, asked them to get stuff which wasn’t set on shelf but it was in stock up there, they said they can’t put them down due to laziness, are you serious? That happened multiple times, this bjs staff are so unfriendly and not helpful at all

They perpetrate eugenics against Disabled people by not requiring everyone to wear masks inside the building. COVID Isn't Over, & we who already have disabilities & prior COVID infections are in much greater danger from this disease than not-yet-disableds.The only employees wearing any masks are those giving out free samples of food (only surgical masks, not N95), but at least one had her nose hanging over the top - useless!Until we have a cure for HIV good enough that nurses stop wearing a new pair of gloves to draw your blood every single time, & we have equally effective cure for COVID, or it's GONE, everybody needs a mask wherever you might swap breath with a stranger, EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Deer park location. I bought paper towels with an eight dollar off coupon. Coupon didn’t work. I had to go to customer service two people working 12 people online my perishables are melting. I asked the supervisor Melissa at the desk anything I can do she said it’s not a problem it’s member services problem and briskly walked away. I ended up waiting online when I got to the desk the customer service people were nice politely explaining to me that it was my fault I had missed I needed to buy two in order to get the coupon. if I only the supervisor would’ve taking a minute to go over that with me she could’ve saved me 20 minutes in line and having to deal with my melting ice cream.

I just want to say some good things about a manager Melissa she is very helpful at taking care my problem with the car battery just want to say that we need more people like this running retail. She was very good with her customer and I think her so much.

30 minutes waiting for someone to pick up the phone , bjs in farmingdale you can have people paying for membership if do service if given to its customers. Today Thursday 3/9/23 7pm
