If I could give zero stars I will give zero stars this location is absolutely horrible the pharmacy staff has no clue what they’re doing, the pharmacy manager cannot manage the department at all they never have anything in stock despite the fact that it’s medications that I get every month and this was way before the recent shortages they don’t know anything about medication super uninformed they take their sweet time to do everything which is the bare minimum totally lacking in customer service and patient care and to get assistance from an anybody is impossible they can’t be bothered to help you at all and if you try to call and get help from the pharmacist they just hang up on you If I could use another Pharmacy I would but sadly my insurance requires me to use Walgreens so obviously no I would not recommend this Walgreens to anybody not even to my worst enemy nobody deserves to be treated the way they treat their customers/patients

The 24 hour drive through pharmacy is the best time about this store. They accept manufacturer’s digital coupons, and the pharmacy staff is professional and efficient.

Absolutely the worst!! I just had surgery, went straight from hospital to pick up my meds, they tell me they need approval , I have to wait till next day , next day they say it will be ready at 11am. I ask if my friend can pick it up , they say yes , my friend gets there at 12:20pm .. they made her wait 20 minutes to then tell her it will be another 20minutes. She has to leave, I then send another friend at 1:30pm they made her wait another 20minutes!!!!! I’m changing pharmacy , never again!!

Pharmacy is terrible. My son’s pediatrician sent over a script while I was at his office so I know it was done. My husband and I also had prescriptions there so we waited a bit so we could pick them all up together. Once we got there the woman at the drive through said there were 4 scripts, 2 for me, one for my husband and the 4th I assumed was for my son. She then said there were only 3 and none for my son. We left I called the Dr’s office and they said they did send it, but would resend it. After waiting awhile I went Into the store and asked for my son’s script. The same woman (tall, blonde, older one) with a complete attitude said “it’s out of stock!” I said I wish we would have been told that when we came earlier. My son is sick and needs his medication. She then got nastier and told me I could have my Dr send it some place else. This being a Friday afternoon I feared the Dr would be gone. I expressed that to her and she said she would check another store. I went to sit down, in the meantime the man in line behind me told me how terrible they are there and couldn’t believe how nasty she was speaking to me. He was asking if they had a certain shampoo behind the counter because he couldn’t find it. Instead of helping him locate it she told him to ask up front again with a very unfriendly tone. She then proceeded to take people from the line and didn’t say a word to me. I took a call from my husband and while on the phone I asked her if she was checking another store. She basically barked at me “The pharmacist is checking!” I said I wasn’t aware because she told me she would check then didn’t say another word. I was speaking to my husband on the phone and said TO HIM she had a nasty attitude and she had the nerve to say “Excuse me?!” First off, she did from the time we went to the drive through till that point just as she always has a poor attitude every time we deal with her. We have dealt with her many times. In fact there are only 2 cashiers that are friendly to us out of all of the ones they have. Second, how dare she question me when I was clearly on the phone especially in the way she did. This woman needs to learn basic customer communication skills because she is nothing short of nasty. The Deer Park Walgreens really needs to do better and start training their employees how to greet and deal with customers especially working in the pharmacy when they have people coming in some sick, or picking up medication for sick children and family members. They need to be taught to have some basic human decency and compassion. In the end the pharmacist was able to transfer the script to the Brentwood location. The girl that helped me there was sweet and the pharmacist even came over to make sure I understood how to administer the medication. Deer Park could definitely learn from that location. I want to end this by saying I never write reviews, but after that experience I had to.

Just went to Walgreens to get some medicine for my sick child and it was locked up, which is perfectly fine, but I pressed the customer service button and it rang for a good 10 minutes and no one ever arrived to unlock the cabinet. I then went up to the front desk to ask if someone could please unlock the cabinet and the worker, who was very kind, announced it on the loudspeaker and still nobody came. 0/10 do better.

I would avoid this pharmacy, since moving to Deer Park two years ago the medication I need refilled every three months has turned into a mess. It is always late and one time they gave me a wrong prescription. Once again I needed my medication today and it’s been two days and it is not ready. The pharmacy leaves you on hold then hangs up the phone they never pick up. When you go in no one ever wants to help and when they do they can never find anything. Being I missed my medication today it might be time for a lawsuit and to notify NY state. I see a lot of other similar reviews of this location I suggest others do the same. I emailed a few Walgreens executives and did get a promise I would get a phone call from an executive team member, shocker no phone call.

I haven’t had any problems with this Walgreens until now. I called days in advance in regard to a refill which I was told will be ready in 30 mins. I then called the next day to be told that the refill was never filled but it would be in 30 mins. I then drive over there for them to let me know that this medication is out of stock. They never answer the phones, I was routed to someone who wasn’t even in Ny or the physical store who then had to connect me to someone in the store. The lady I spoke to was very rude and did not reassure me that I would be getting my medication that I called in advance for and desperately need. I told them each time that I need this medication as I will be going away and if I do not get it, I will be very sick. It’s like a sick joke, the lady that I spoke with even hung up the phone on me. If anything happens to me, Walgreens will be paying for my funeral. Walgreens needs to hire more people,
And people with some compassion at that. This is ridiculous , these are people’s lives in your hands that you all are playing with. Hire people who can do the job and pay them. God forbid one of their family members go through what I am so that they’ll know how it feels. Do better!!!!
