June 2025 by Big Words I Know By Heart
Went to transfer my prescription over now that Rite Aid is closing and the same medication at Walgreens was 300% more than what I was paying. Called my insurance provider and they advised me to shop around. I wasn’t aware that some places gouge and some places don’t when it comes to prescriptions. Transferred my script elsewhere and hopefully this is a cautionary tale for anyone who’s in the same situation right now: shop around.

Bought a Walgreens vaporizer to avoid my yearly sinus issues in the winter. Worked great and then it died. I think after two years of use. I called the help line and she said Walgreens products have a 100% guarantee, return it and get another one. I dillydallied but eventually took he old one in an aldi bag and the store Manager gave me a new one. No receipt, no box. Just the imprint of Walgreens in the body of the vaporizer.

This place is a joke. My prescription was on back order and they didn't even bother to tell me two weeks after I dropped the prescription off.
This isn't vitamins , I need my prescription to function.

The pharmacy personnel at this location are an absolute joke. They spend more time caking makeup onto their faces than actually doing their job. They have no idea how to process a simple return. They have no idea how to process insurance claims and will insist on taking your cash to avoid paperwork. Welcome to NY, where you have to beg people to do their job.

The main pharmacist woman is rude. They lose your meds and it takes weeks to get things refilled. Even if a doctors office calls themselves to try and move things along the pharmacist is rude and still doesn't do her job. It's been over a year of messing around, I can't keep playing games to get my meds. I'm switching and I'll never be back.

So rude. A manager with one tooth missing and a super rude, skinny, young man with long hair just could not be bothered….no thanks, I’ll shop somewhere else.

I prefer to order online and pickup - it's how you get the best prices. This store was just as good as every other Walgreens I've been too. Had what I wanted and everything was where you'd expect it to be.

This place is either incompetent or just plain greedy. Either way they like to mess with my health by not properly filling my prescriptions and playing games. I was informed by my doctor back in October they sent a refill to Walgreens. I get a text message that both mine and my son's prescriptions were ready. I go there and they tell me only my son's is ready and that they "didn't receive anything" for me. A month goes by and I start getting low so I request a refill through my doctor. They sent it and requested 90 days since that's what my insurance requires. Per the usual Walgreens claims there's an issue. So I go there after waiting 2 weeks for this "issue" to be resolved and they tell me my doctor only sent a 30 day script. I ask them for a print out for proof and then magically the script from a month prior is there and is 90 days so after waiting over a month for 1 prescription to get fill. It's every month they claim there's an issue. When I mentioned about how I was told previously they never got the initial request, the girl just shrugged her shoulder and ignored my concern, like it's not big deal. Worst place to "trust" with your medication/health. I've been told by multiple people that they most likely don't want to fill my scripts because they don't make money off me because my insurance pays the majority. Which explains why they constantly are trying to get me to pay out of pocket for my medication.

Believe it or not, sometimes customers know exactly what they want and can be in and out of the store in just minutes, even if it's 10 minutes to close.. I was going to be 3 minutes max in this store, when I audibly heard the male cashier up front trash talking (to a customer no less!) , saying "I wouldn't go into a store even 30 minutes to close!!" Well, pathetic employee, since we're talking about things we wouldn't do, wanna know something I'D never do?? I'd never trash talk customers at an establishment, especially while working a customer service job! I suggest u find another job, because you are absolutely gross and not suited for yours. Edit: skinny young long dark haired male who was also rude to me on a prior occasion.. shocking!

This review isn't necessarily about the store and the products, but the staff and management. I called the store today because I used to work here, and when I stopped working there I forgot my working papers. I was told that they would be in an envelope for me to pick up today, yet when I got there, I was told they were missing! The manager I spoke to told me that she was saving them in my employee folder for when I remembered to come back and get them. She disappeared for about 15 minutes looking for the papers, and she came out with nothing, simply telling me "they're gone". No apology, nothing. I explained that I needed them by today, and she shrugged it off and told me to just get new ones from school, which isn't possible until tomorrow morning.

Do not get your covid tests here or at any Walgreens location. They are very slow to retrieve your results if needed in a timely manner.
