So many bugs in each room and beds that it feels borderline unsanitary. The accessibility to the lake is nice but that’s pretty much it. It truly is a nice place but the amount of ticks i came by just made me & my family uncomfortable.

The door in my bathroom kept getting stuck. First world problems.Beach was small, but dock was huge.Rooms also look a little tired, but that's kinda a Lake George thing - I've stayed at a lot of hotels in the area and the same can be said about most of those. If this was a four-star Westin in a major city, then I'd have a problem with this, but not here! There's a difference between old-school and outdated. Old-school is like Madison Square Garden. Sure, it's straight outta the 60s, but it's still a fun place to see a game and you could always go back to it. Outdated is something you NEVER wanna go back to. I think this hotel falls into the old-school category, but I'm still giving it three stars because of the problem with the bathroom door and the small beach.Overall, enjoyed my stay despite those issues. I'll probably just avoid that particular room next time I find myself here (I don't remember the room number); I'm sure I just had bad luck.

Great family vacation spot! Owners are so nice and accommodating. Having the lake, pool, and boat rentals in one place is fantastic! My 4 grandchildren had such a great time. This was our 3rd time staying here and won’t be our last.

We stayed here in July, 2023 and had a wonderful time. The convenience of having a lake swimming area, a swimming pool, and easy access to boats, and kayaks made it a great place to stay for us and our extended family. Our group of 16 ranged from age 14 months on up, and everyone enjoyed it. I recommend The Villas and would definitely go again.

We discovered The Villas on a whim in 2019 in a search for a new yearly spot for our group of 5. We've been coming back and renting the same townhouse ever since, now with a group of 6. If that doesn't speak to how much we love it here, I'm not sure what will. This is truly a hidden gem. Not only does it boast some of the most fantastic views, the accommodations are great, the amenities are awesome, and most importantly the hospitality is phenomenal. There are kayaks, row boats and paddle boards free to use. They have an in house marina where they rent out boats and jet skis at a cost. The beach area is BEAUTIFUL with a small sandy area for the kids. They have a gorgeous salt water pool at the top of the property. They have a small café off the office that makes THE best smoothies and coffee. There's a cute little playground for kiddos. The property is always so clean and well kept. You honestly don't even need to leave the property to have fun. It's an all in one fun zone. There are some dated aspects you can see around the place, but what's fantastic is that every year we come back and new improvements and upgrades have been made. I love that this place is eternally in a state of growth and improvement, and you can really tell this is a labor of love for the Chiriboga family. You would be hard pressed to find a group of people more dedicated to the happiness of their clientele, more hospitable, more kind, more hardworking, sweeter and more passionate than the owners. My favorite perk is you CAN NOT beat the overwhelming sense of peace that shrouds this place. We have been making memories at the Villas for 4 years and we intend to continue doing so for years to come. We LOVE the Villas, it means so much to our little family.

I’ve been coming to the villas on lake George since I was a kid although some of the rooms are outdated the place is clean and safe ideal for the perfect family vacation in the Adirondack’s ( the review posted previously should be disregarded … how dumb do you have to be to come to the wilderness that is the adirondack mountains (with your dog to boot) and then when you get home and find a tick on yourself demand to get a full refund hahah the tick probably hitched a ride on your dog when you let it out to go bathroom … sounds like your better off staying at a hotel that doesn’t allow you to bring your dog in the first place

An awful place. Though I give credit to owner Sylvia who was a lovely lady. the other one Len not so much.It was a last minute booking yesterday 5/28. Sylvia made an exception for us to bring our dog along. For that I give this a two star instead of one star.1. The room 23 we stayed was cramped, old, and dark with deadlocked windows, no deck (was told there was one but wouldn’t have complained).2. There were bugs and ants inside. See pictures.3. pots and coffee makers were all dirty. Silverware sticky.4. AC was shaking and loud, not quite working. As squeaking was one of the fans in the bedrooms.5. I was told there was a deck and grill. There was no deck. Grill was one of those you find in parks, dirty, in the lawn area.6. Hot water smelled like rotten eggs. Len said that was mineral. Yeah. Sulphuric acid. If you call that mineral. Towels were coarse and dirty looking. We avoided taking showers. There was not even any paper towel. Asked and was told they expected me to bring my own.And I paid $499+ taxes for the night. Len, upon my initial checking in, on the basis of discovery of AC problems, offered 10% discount. I have not seen that upon my departure and at this point don’t expect the 10% refund.I wouldn’t have left this review with all the above dissatisfaction. I appreciated Sylvia being nice. It was tonight 5/29 upon arriving home and taking a shower, I found a tick in my skin on the scalp. I was on a boat during the day. The only place my head touched was the bed at this place.I was rather upset with the discovery of the tick: the concern of Lyme decease, and the hustle I have to go through to get checked. I called and spoke to Len who picked up the phone. I explained my concern and voiced my dissatisfaction, and asked for a full refund. He spoke in such a way, saying “sorry for my unhappy life” , that I hung up and decided to leave this review.I will initiate a dispute with my credit card company . At this time, I am not concerned if I get the money back or not. I just want people to be aware before you check into this place. I have stayed at the stepping stone, the Sun catstle, etc and the Sagamore hotel. None of them much more, if at all, than what I paid here but each offered much better facilities. There are plenty other nicer places to stay.
