The staff is friendly, gym is always clean. I go in the mornings and weekends and really enjoy it. NYSC is always great but this location checks all the boxes for me!I’m not super big on pools but I love the option, and it’s inspiring to see people always in there doing laps. Absolutely crushing it. The sauna is great, showers are clean. Lockers are very spaciousThey even have plastic bags for your clothes so you can bring a change of clothes or bring a towel etcAt first I was weary due to some of the reviews but I haven’t seen anything broken or dirty ??♀️ (People complain about nothing, especially when it comes to gyms, just to get a refund lol).I went for a tour w the manager Danielle. Her customer service and presence was A1. Signed up for a $1 and been a member here since OctMuch love to this gym and the staff. My schedule is busy but whenever I get a moment I know I’m going to have a great workout. I’ve never seen it too packed or crowded. Their HIIT and yoga classes along w their instructors also excellent.

It's a great gym that i really like. People are friendly, and you can get in and get out. Wifi is sometimes an issue. Also, parking is sometimes frustrating, but it's a shared lot, so you get what you get.

I usually can say that I had an issue with other gyms i’ve been at but this gym has never been one of them. The place is clean, many equipment, friendly staff.. most especially Saud! He was very informative, helpful and very energetic. Thank you for being so patient and helpful!

Had to leave a review for the AMAZING Spinning Instructors. Sandra and Susan are the best of the best!!If you’re looking for faster , HIIT spin type classes, Sandra is your girl. Susan focuses more on high intense climbs. They are the perfect balance for my week and I couldn’t be more happier with their programs.Love love love!!Overall, great gym and wonderful community.

It’s a great gym. Friendly staff, very clean. Minus one star because they don’t have paper towels anywhere besides the front desk (you have to ask them for it, they keep it under the desk). Strange.

Don't bother if swimming is your form of exercise. The pool schedule is inconsistent, there have been times that it's completely closed with out warning. The gym is ok. They've had breakdown issues particular type of elliptical machine and instead of replacement they simplify take them off line. I believe that if you're paying for a gym that sells you membership with a pool and machines they should be available as long as the facility is open.

First impressions are that this is a decent sized place. The equipment is fairly worn down but from what I used, things seem to be in working condition. There is no organization to the weights as things seem to be placed back randomly by customers most likely. I went around noon on a weekday so not busy by any means so I expected more organization. I did not use the pool or basketball court so I cannot speak to that. All in all, this is a pretty standard NYSC

This is my first review ever on google. I am writing because It has gotten so bad. Save yourself do not join this gym. They are only good at marketing which is likely why they have so many members but the experience is hell. I get to the gym and equipment is out of service half the time. Take the pool as a good example of how they operate. The pool isn’t open half the time. They have cut hours for when the pool is open now they have the old hours still hanging up and you can see it was open so much longer before. Now even when it’s supposed to be open, it’s often closed no real reason. Then they started adding classes that they charge parents for swimming lessons so even when it’s open then there’s half the space. I get it people have kids and they need space too but of course this gym is all about the money so sometimes they’ll close the pool but make sure it’s open for these classes because they don’t want to refund that money most likely… And now even when it’s open and there’s half the space they then post signs saying limit your workout to 30min. I don’t understand how this place has positive reviews, maybe it’s because people have time or are mostly here for recreation, but I want to work out. I want to lose weight and am trying hard, I am so busy and don’t have time to waste. You get to the gym and you want to work out, which alone takes will power you get there and you can’t work out. It is really been very disheartening. I’ve been going for more than a year and management only seems to care about getting you to sign up, then they have you, you paid your sign fee and you don’t really want to lose it, I have fallen into this trap but realize they don’t care about the services they offer if they can save 2 cents they will do it even at massive inconvenience to their members. Something as simple as the weighing scale has been broken for months. If anyone knows of a gym with a pool in the westchester area I would join so quick.

Wouldn’t allow me cancel membership during pandemic and continued charging monthly dues. Also randomly increased dues with no warning. Later on, I received a settlement check from New York State for said dues. Uncaring and greedy business, avoid them like the plague.

Disgusting customer service when dealing with cancellations.Edit after response from owner:An employee that worked here told me in-person that he would start a two-month membership and cancel it at the end for me. I found out months later that he never did. I reached out to management, but they were not only supporting this scam - they were also stubborn about it. I lost hundreds of dollars because of this that I will never get back. It's really disappointing that the response to this review is covering my whole side of the story. I hope this situation can be solved.

Update April, 2021:Last year Town Sports International was sold and is under new management. Dobbs Ferry reopened in September 2020, approximately six months after Covid 19 was forced to shut down most businesses. I was told that the towel service was suspended because the vendor did not comply with Covid standards. I wish I knew if that service will be reinstated. Overall the gym is very clean. The cleaning staff is cleaning non-stop as I can see. The locker rooms are in decent shape with a limited number of lockers available. That is of course to keep - yes, what else -social distance. The same applies to some machines which are taped off. I was told that ~130 persons were allowed at any given time on the floor back in January. So far it has not been crowded. The max. number I have experienced was ~50. Showers are open between 8-12p and 4-8p. The policy of using the showers is explained differently, dependent on who you ask. The outer four of the six shower stalls (male locker room) do not have a sign of do-not-use. The Sauna and pool remain closed (the pool is drained). Hairdryers are not available anymore. Soap, shower gel, conditioner, and lotion remain available as well as a hand dryer, facial tissue, paper towels. When you enter the club you take your temperature yourself (contactless). The front desk asks about any symptoms and check-in and out, so the club has a count of people at any time to comply with NY State regulations.Old review:Club has good amount of equipment. Towel service is a plus. Showers recently have shown a temperature control problem. The sauna requires a long term cleaning on its floor. I wish battery operated device would be banned in the sauna as they may explode under high temperatures.Nov 2022: Needs towel service and paper towels or wipes.January 2023: Black mold mentioned to management, no change in two weeks.

Decent gym, however the lockers are in desperate need of insect fumigation! Every time I put my clothes or jacket in there and put them back on after a workout I'm scratching from head to toe within a few minutes. There's some type of body lice or mites in those lockers that definitely need to be removed ASAP.

Your cleaning guy is impeccable and pays attention to even the small details of the machines. Your team is always outgoing and friendly and helpful. The trainers I've talked with or done a session with are extremely knowledgeable. It never smells bad like an old gym. If you guys have a machine broken you get it fixed. You have a good variety of equipment and machines. And when I used to do the classes I really love the classes and the instructors. The locker rooms are impeccably neat and clean and I've used the showers before I didn't feel grossed out. Even using the pool back when I was doing therapy. Just so clean and well taken care of.

This gym used to be better, now my suggestion is you find another gym or you get there early and be out by 3pm latest. Every teenage kid from Dobbs Ferry & Yonkers will be there after that time. The place is clean but the weights are all over the gym with no staff correcting the problem OR returning them to their proper place. After 3pm teenagers are 5-6 at a piece of equipment standing around on there phones. If there was floor staff teaching some gym etiquette the place would be better. GO EARLY!!!!

Been a member for a month and I can attest that it’s my favorite gym. The staff is incredible here: Tom, Brian and Melinda make you feel welcome. I paired up with a personal trainer (Frank) who listens attentively to my goals and is flexible. There’s ample parking and the perks include: sauna, pool and fitness classes.
