this is my first Google review ever but I felt inclined once I read other reviews expressing the same uneasiness of being followed. I’ve shopped at Ulta for years and given honestly thousands of dollars to this business and been at several locations. this was my first time at this location, I came in shopping for a gift and it was rather empty, which may be why there was nothing better for the security guard to do than to follow me at every turn and try to do it in unsuspecting ways which may work for people who aren’t self aware. i’m not sure what the reason may be, my hands were already full with my phone and my wallet as i had no bag, no jacket and even no pockets. from the perfume section where i was waiting for help to the remainder of the store she followed and at one point when i moved to a different isle, even had to walk right in front of me there with an “excuse me” (although there was of course plenty of room around), i’m aware it was a tactic of stalking for lack of better words. as one does when they go to ulta, i end up choosing other items to replenish my skin care which i didn’t plan on initially, and dropped a good molecules package on the floor and picked it up. the security guard ears perked as she saw an opportunity to so thoughtfully come over and say “miss, you’re dropping things, here is a shopping bag!” very coy! i said i just finished, thank you, and proceeded to the cash register to buy the perfume they put on hold for me and the rest of my items. just a very weird and uncomfortable experience being stalked at every turn with obvious tactics. i know people have jobs to do, but this was just too much as a regular shopper who was just trying to have another normal experience. I only came to this location since i needed a last minute gift, otherwise i would not subject myself to this uncomfortable experience again.

I had such a wonderful experience with Annmarie! She was incredibly patient and attentive, taking her time to help me find the perfect shade of lipstick and concealer for my wedding day. I truly felt listened to and cared for throughout the process. Her knowledge and warm personality made the experience even more special. Highly recommend her for any bride-to-be or anyone looking for expert beauty guidance!

I scheduled a make up appointment a week in advance for my graduation. Upon arriving at my scheduled time (afternoon) I wasn’t greeted and I waited for 15 mins before being assisted. There was a make up artist working on a client which threw me off because I knew I had an appointment scheduled. When someone FINALLY came to help me she could not find my name in the system. She then got the manager which took another 10 minutes. The manager came to me and said the make up artist was not here. And said that all their appointments were cancelled and phone calls were made to customers that morning. This was a complete lie as I never received a phone call, text message, or email. I wasted my time waiting and traveling to this location just to be disappointed. The manager apologized but overall she was not helpful as she blamed the opening manager. After wasting my time there I had to rush to prepare and travel to my graduation make up free. I will never come to this Ulta (DOBBS FERRY) again. I find this completely unprofessional.

This is by far the best Ulta I’ve ever visited! The staff is incredibly friendly and GENUINELY helpful with recommendations—they really know their stuff. The store is clean, well-stocked, and organized, which made shopping a breeze. Plus, the location is a bonus—right next to Chipotle and Chopt, two of my favorite spots. Great beauty finds and lunch options all in one trip!

Went to get my makeup for prom. The lady doing it, Samantha, ignored my requests for a natural look. Made my face darker then my skin and basically made em have her makeup look. I showed her references and she just ignored it.
Plus she didn't even show me the eyeshadow pallet she would be using before hand.

I went for a make up appointment at a designated time. No one greeted me. I sat there for nearly a half an hour. Had to ask someone to help me. They said they were running behind and would not commit to a time. So I had to leave in fear of missing my party with no makeup on. Will never return.

No one greets you at this location. When you are on line, there are at least 2 other employees lingering at the cash wrap. You will wait as I did until one of them uses common sense and takes the next customer. I don’t get it. This place gives shopping at bay plaza feels. I only come here for convenience.

I had to stop by Ulta for some last minute gifts, this is my first time in the store, I had absolutely no idea how to navigate the product(s)/ let alone; have a clue what or how to pick out the right items for the family I was shopping for... Ann Marie (On the floor) and Lauren (who helped me finish my purchase) were exceptional in their recommendations (all while making me comfortable with the selection) and I'm sure if needed, this will be where I'll be going in the future. Thanks again!

I recently took my 10 year old daughter to Ulta (Dobbs Ferry) for a haircut, and we had the pleasure of being served by Karina. I can’t express enough how impressed we were with the entire experience.
From the moment we walked in, Karina was incredibly welcoming and professional. She listened attentively to what my daughter wanted and offered valuable suggestions to enhance the style. The haircut itself was flawless—precise, stylish, and exactly what we envisioned.
But what truly set Karina apart was her exceptional skill in blow-drying. My daughter’s hair looked stunning, with a smooth and polished finish that lasted for days. She was beaming with confidence when we left the salon.

Such a poorly run store. So many people in ulta shirts yet no one seems to be helping anyone, except the one single person running the register with a long line. Would rather buy online and wait for shipping. Would be faster
